Celtic were made to pay the price for Barcelona’s shock weekend La Liga defeat to Alaves, after they ended up on the wrong end of a 7-0 Champions League demolition at the hands of the Catalans.
Barcelona’s performance against the Scottish giants had the feeling of a wounded animal quickly recovering, out to show the world it is still the best despite the weekend set back.
