Bottom club Sunderland will be desperate to claim their first win of the Premier League season when they host West Brom on Saturday.
After a tumultuous summer, the Black Cats are still to find any sort of momentum under new boss David Moyes, while questions also remain over the Baggies.
Sunderland, who are 29/20 for the win, were within touching distance of finally claiming their maiden triumph of the campaign last weekend, only to squander a two goal lead on their way to a 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace.
If they are to stay up, Moyes’s men will need to beat the teams around them at home and this game appears to represent another good chance for them to make the breakthrough.
Jermain Defoe will, of course, need to be on form and the former England striker is 15/4 to break the deadlock in the game with ComeOn!.
West Brom appeared to have turned a corner when they played West Ham off the park in a 4-2 win earlier this month but struggled to find their rhythm in last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Stoke.
However, the business they did towards the end of the transfer window suggests they are set for another solid if unspectacular season in the top flight. The signing of Nacer Chadli from Tottenham was a particularly impressive piece of business and on ability alone, he will arguably be the most talented player on show at the Stadium of Light.
A disorganised defence is exactly what players like Chadli thrive upon and 59/20 for him to score at anytime is a decent price.
Perhaps one saving grace for the home side is that they have only lost by more than one goal on one occasion so far this term and you can back either the Wearsiders or the Baggies to win by one goal at either 13/5 or 16/5 respectively.
With these sides seemingly closely matched, the draw is a good price at 43/20, while having played out a stalemate in this fixture last term, 0-0 at 25/4 may also be something that interests certain punters.
