Daily Tips – Go for goals as stuttering Everton host in-form Palace

Everton host Crystal Palace later and I’m hoping the hosts can get back among the goals after drawing blanks in their previous two outings.

The Goodison Park side have suffered back-to-back defeats to Norwich and Bournemouth ahead of this fixture, while Palace fought back from 2-0 down last week to stun Sunderland 3-2 and record a third successive Premier League win.

The visitors made a poor start to the season but can now draw level with Everton on 13 points with a win on Friday, although I’m not sure they’ll get it.

Yannick Bolasie made the move from Selhurst Park to Merseyside in the summer and players tend to put in big performances against their former clubs. However, he isn’t much of a goalscorer and is more likely to be the provider than the man who puts it in the net.

Romelu Lukaku is yet to hit top form this term aside from a hat-trick in the win over Sunderland but the Palace defence is hardly watertight and he is worth a look at 9/2 to hit two or more, while Aaron Lennon is 33/10 to score at anytime.

Considering Everton haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last three games we can probably expect a goal from Palace and the 9/4 on Christian Benteke to score at anytime also appeals.

Goals could be the way to go in this clash as both teams are probably better going forward than they are at the back. Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals both pay out at 10/13 but my top bet for this Friday night Premier League clash is over 3.5 goals at 39/20.
