Gunners able to trouble Citizens

Manchester City may be flying high at the Premier League summit, but Sunday’s visitors Arsenal have caused them some problems in recent meetings.

The Gunners have scored at least two goals in six of their last seven clashes with the Citizens, while they have only lost one of their last three games at the Etihad Stadium.

Therefore, 19/10 for Arsenal to score over 1.5 goals in the game this weekend could be worth considering.

And one man who appears to relish testing himself against the City backline is Theo Walcott, who has found the net in three of his last five games against the men form Manchester.

The England man is 27/10 to score at any time on Sunday but seems likely to start on the bench, so perhaps long-term City target Alexis Sanchez at 7/4 might offer better value.

For the hosts, Sergio Aguero has scored in each of his last three outings against the Gunners, but he is 5/9 to score at any time, so 11/4 to score the first goal of the game is the market to ponder.

On the overall front, City could hardly be in better form, having won their last eight league games, scoring 32 goals in the process.

The only team to deny them since a 1-1 draw with Everton in August were Wolves, who held out for 120 minutes in an EFL Cup tie, only to lose on penalties.

So, a home win at 2/5 seems likely to offer a small return, while you may want to consider backing the Citizens to get amongst the goals in a big way, having put five past Liverpool and Crystal Palace and seven past Stoke in recent outings on home turf.

Pep Guardiola’s side are 39/20 to score over 4.5 goals against the Gunners and are 16/5 to score over 2.5 goals in the opening half of the game.

If you fancy the visitors to continue their goalscoring ways against City then consider the Citizens to win after coming from behind at 11/2, while the hosts could also offer a limited reward at 2/5 to score the final goal of the game.
