With some of Tuesday’s Champions League fixtures having a lopsided look, punters looking for value should turn their gaze to Istanbul and a Group G encounter.
Besiktas (4/27 to win Group G) have surprised many people with their European displays this term, having already won away in Porto and Monaco, whilst claiming a home win over Bundesliga high-flyers RB Leipzig.
Last season’s Turkish champions currently top their group, with 10 points from four games, and a positive result on Tuesday will see them qualify for the knockout stages.
Besiktas have lost just one of their last 13 home games and with Porto, who have won just one of their last four Champions League away matches, and the home side are available at a tempting 11/5.
Another odds-against option are Tottenham, who will seek a quick response following their north London derby defeat to Arsenal on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino takes his team to Germany for a game that would be ordinarily be seen an extremely tough European fixture, at Borussia Dortmund (Match Betting – Dortmund 5/4, Draw 53/20, Tottenham 11/5).
But the Bundesliga giants seem to be in disarray, with just one win in the last eight and that came against Magdeburg – a third tier German side – in the DFB Pokal.
They have only collected two points from their four Group H games, in contrast Spurs are unbeaten and sit in top spot having collected 10 points to date.
The third value betting selection comes in Group G, where Monaco and RB Leipzig meet at the Stade Louis II stadium.
The Ligue 1 side have struggled to find the form that won the French league last term and saw them reach the semi-finals of the Champions League. They haven’t won any of their opening four games and face another tough test on Tuesday.
After a slow start to the season, Leipzig have suffered just three defeats in their last nine matches – with two of those coming against Bayern Munich.
