Gunners to leave Cologne smelling of roses

Arsenal‘s serene progress to the last 32 of the Europa League should not be halted by Cologne as the Gunners close in on confirming top spot in Group H.

Cologne are rooted to the foot of the Bundesliga table after failing to win any of their first 12 league matches.

They have only found the net four times and seem destined for relegation while they have also lost three of their first four Europa League matches.

Arsene Wenger’s team are good value at 8/5 to win in Germany and they are 12/5 to keep a clean sheet in the match.

Everton’s campaign, both domestically and in Europe, has been dismal and they are not expected to enjoy much success against Atalanta who exposed the Toffees’ shortcomings when they thrashed them 3-0 in September.

The Serie A side are 6/5 to win at Goodison Park against what is almost certainly going to be an experimental Everton team.

Elsewhere on Thursday, there will be plenty of interest in the Group J results as Ostersunds and Zorya Luhansk attempt to eliminate Athletic Bilbao and Hertha Berlin.

Swedish side Ostersunds, managed by Graham Potter, can make home advantage count by beating Ukrainian side Zorya at odds of 4/5 while the best Hertha can hope for in Spain could be a draw at 27/10.

Group F is also very tight after five of the first eight matches ended in draws. That could be the case again this week, with FC Copenhagen 49/20 to draw at Lokomotiv Moscow and Zlin 53/20 to hold Sheriff Tiraspol.

Finally, there is good value in Group K where Vitesse are 5/1 to beat what will surely be a weakened Lazio side in Rome.

Austria Vienna are talented enough to come away from the San Siro with a draw, available at 19/4, against AC Milan in Group D.
