Paris Saint-Germain sent a few shockwaves around Europe with a convincing home win over Bayern Munich in September and the German champions will be looking for revenge this evening.
The French giants saw their unbeaten record in Ligue 1 ended by lowly Strasbourg at the weekend although they perhaps already had this fixture in mind.
Both sides have already qualified for the knockout stages but top spot in Group B is still up for grabs.
As PSG won the first leg 3-0, Bayern must win by four goals so I’m expecting them to go on the attack in front of their own fans.
PSG may have a wealth of attacking quality, but they do look vulnerable at the back at times and they’ve only managed one clean sheet in their last five games.
The goals market looks a good starting point and the 5/4 on over 3.5 goals appeals, as does over 1.5 goals in the first half at the same price.
Bayern look a lot better since Jupp Heynckes returned as coach after a poor start to the season saw Carlo Ancelotti axed, with that 3-0 loss in Paris the final straw for the club’s board in regard to the Italian.
With qualification already secured for both, I’m hoping we see two teams going for the win and home advantage may just swing this one in Bayern’s favour.
The Bavarians have won their previous five home games and are unbeaten in nine in Munich.
