Free-scoring Liverpool can confirm their place in the last 16 of the Champions League by easing to victory against Spartak Moscow on Wednesday.

Since being held to a goalless draw by Manchester United in mid-October, Jurgen Klopp’s side have scored in 10 successive matches in all competitions, firing home 33 goals in the process.

They drew 1-1 in the Russian capital where Spartak thrashed Sevilla 5-1 in October.

However, that has been Spartak’s only Group E victory and, although they are unbeaten in their last 12 Russian League matches, Liverpool should be able to keep a clean sheet in the crunch clash at odds of 21/20 while they are 29/4 to win the match 2-0.

Meanwhile, Sevilla should also seal their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League by winning at Maribor, at 4/17, as the Slovenian team have already been eliminated from Europe this season.

In Group F it may be worth betting on a draw, available at 47/20, in the match between Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester City.

City, who have already sealed top spot in the group, will surely field a weakened team as Pep Guardiola will have one eye on Sunday’s Manchester derby while Shakhtar only need a point to finish as runners-up.

Such a result would be bad news for Napoli who had been tipped as dark horses to win the competition, but now look set to have to settle for a place in the Europa League in the new year.

A victory by a three-goal margin for the Serie A side against Feyenoord in Rotterdam can be backed at 9/2.

Last season’s semi-finalists Monaco are already out of Europe and should be easily beaten by Porto who can edge out RB Leipzig and clinch runners-up spot in Group G behind Besiktas.

Andre Pereira is 15/4 to score the first goal in Porto while Leipzig are 4/13 to beat Besiktas.

Finally, in Group H Tottenham and Real Madrid have already sealed their places in the last 16 while Borussia Dortmund and Apoel Nicosia are battling for third spot and a place in the Europa League.

Stuttering Spurs are 4/1 to return to form by beating Apoel by a three-goal margin at Wembley while Mousa Sissoko is 12/5 to score anytime in the match.
