Dour Red Star can end Cologne’s European adventure

Arsenal may have already confirmed their place in Monday’s draw for the last 32 of the Europa League but second spot in Group H is still up for grabs.

Red Star Belgrade are currently in pole position and can seal a place in the knockout stages by beating Cologne, who kept their own hopes of qualifying alive by surprisingly beating the Gunners 1-0 last month.

Goals have been at a premium in Red Star’s five group games – they have scored only twice and conceded two – and a draw on Thursday, available at 47/20, could be good enough for the Serbian side to progress as they will be above Cologne on head-to-head rankings.

The odds on there being one goal in the match should not be ignored at odds of 57/20.

However, a shock win for BATE Borisov, at what will surely be a second-string Arsenal team, could be enough to send the side from Belarus through to the last-32 stage. A 1-0 victory for BATE is available at 19/1.

Elsewhere, Everton’s dismal Europa League campaign finally comes to an end with a visit to Apollon Limassol.

The dead rubber could see Sam Allardyce turn to several youngsters as he looks to evaluate his squad. If that is the case it would be wise to back Tom Davies at 5/1 to score at any time in the encounter.

Also in Group E top spot is on offer when Atalanta host Lyon.

The Serie A team thrashed Everton 5-1 at Goodison Park a fortnight ago and are 59/20 to beat Lyon by a one-goal margin.

Most of the top-two places in the groups have already been confirmed but there will be a crucial match at the Stade Velodrome where Marseille host Red Bull Salzburg.

The Austrian side have already confirmed top spot in Group I and Marseille have fate in their own hands after drawing 1-1 at Konyaspor last month.

Marseille know that a victory against Salzburg will be enough to clinch second place and they should be backed at 10/17 to win the match and at 5/4 to keep a clean sheet.
