Manchester United head to Everton for the late game in the Premier League today and goals could well be at a premium at Goodison Park.
Referee Mike Dean managed to spoil yesterday’s tip with that questionable penalty decision, although Alexis Sanchez did grab the first goal so it wasn’t a complete loss. Hopefully the New Year brings us a bit more luck but it may not do so for United boss Jose Mourinho this evening.
The Old Trafford side head to Merseyside without strike pair Zlatan Ibrahimovic and former Everton man Romelu Lukaku, meaning Marcus Rashford will probably get the nod in attack.
I rate Rashford but he’s not the finished product yet and he looked a little rusty in the stalemate with Southampton last time out, which is one of the reasons I’m not anticipating a Goodison goal fest, with under 2.5 goals priced at 5/8.
United have drawn their last three games and five of the last six games involving one of these two sides have ended level.
Everton were beaten at Bournemouth last time out but at home Sam Allardyce is unbeaten as boss and they have 10 points from the last 12 available.
Everton have a few injury problems themselves but they could grab a result today and the 5/2 on a draw is my top bet in this match up, and a double chance on a draw or Everton result is an option at 11/10 if you want to play it a little safer.
