Goals to flow at expectant Anfield

Something will have to give at Anfield on Sunday when table-topping Manchester City take on Liverpool.

The Reds are unbeaten at home this season and have not lost any of their last 14 games against City on their own pitch while Pep Guardiola’s team have won 20 and drawn two of their top-flight matches.

The teams are the top scorers in the Premier League although Liverpool have actually scored eight more goals on their travels than at home.

Harry Kane may currently be the top scorer in the league, with 18 goals, but he is closely followed by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (17) and City duo Raheem Sterling (14) and Sergio Aguero (13).

Roberto Firmino has nine Premier League goals to his name and looks very good value at 7/1 to score the first goal, with a City victory and both teams to score available at 12/5.

However, a draw at 53/20 appears to be too good to ignore while the odds on over 3.5 goals being scored in the match should be taken up at 27/20.

Earlier on Sunday, Arsenal will be keen to clinch a routine victory at Bournemouth after being forced to come back from three goals down to draw 3-3 in the corresponding fixture last season.

A Gunners victory from behind is available at 11/2 while Alexandre Lacazette, who has struggled recently, is 15/4 to claim the first goal.

Arsene Wenger’s team may be infuriatingly inconsistent but they have only lost one of their last 10 Premier League matches while the Cherries have failed to keep a clean sheet since drawing 0-0 at Swansea in November, a run of nine games during which they have conceded 20 goals.

Arsenal are 41/20 to keep a clean sheet at the Vitality Stadium while a 1-0 victory for the visitors can be backed at 10/1.
