Borussia Dortmund travel to Cologne on Friday for their first match since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left for Arsenal and we may see some kind of reaction from the visitors.
BVB did take Michy Batshuayi on loan from Chelsea as a replacement, but he may not be thrown straight into action and could have to settle for a place on the bench.
The uncertainty over Aubameyang has potentially had an impact on Dortmund in recent weeks and they head to the Bundesliga’s bottom club bidding to end a run of three successive draws.
Now the situation has been resolved, BVB may be able to focus a bit more and at 10/11 they look good value to claim all three points against a side they outclass in all areas of the pitch.
Cologne have shown some real fight in the last few weeks however, having picked up seven points from the last nine available at home.
The hosts struggled for goals earlier in the campaign but have been a bit better going forward and they should be able to cause Dortmund a few problems on Friday night.
BVB have managed just two clean sheets in their last 16 games so I’m hoping for a few goals at the RheinEnergieStadion and an away win with both teams to score at 47/20 is my top bet in this match-up.
