Hornets have it all to do

Watford welcome Chelsea to Vicarage Road on Monday evening, with the hosts hoping to defeat their visitors for the first time this century.

The Hornets have failed to come out on top in any of their last 13 meetings with the Blues, with their last success coming way back in September 1999.

And their hopes of ending that run are not helped by them having only won one of their last 12 Premier League games, which goes some way to explaining why Watford are 19/4 to secure all three points on Monday.

The Blues are also not in the best of form, but will be desperate to make up for a 3-0 home reverse at the hands of Bournemouth in midweek.

They are odds on to win at Vicarage Road, but given the lack of form from both sides 59/20 for a draw might be the outright market to plump for, with 4/1 for a score draw also an option.

A 1-1 draw at 25/4 is certainly one to consider, while a 2-2 draw is a long shot at 14/1, but cannot be entirely dismissed.

However, do bear in mind that Chelsea have put four goals past Watford in their last two clashes, so expect them to be among the goals, even if star striker Alvaro Morata misses out through injury.

Recent signing Olivier Giroud may earn a start if Spain international Morata is absent, so 27/20 for the former Arsenal frontman to score at any time could be a tempting prospect.

While on the individual player theme, Hornets midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has earned seven yellow cards in the Premier League already this season, so 3/1 for him to be cautioned again on Monday evening has some merit.

Back on the goals front, Watford have failed to find the net in any of their last three games in all competitions, so you may see 6/5 to score under 0.5 goals in the meeting with the Blues as a worthwhile option offering a small return.

If that is a market which interests you, then Chelsea to win to zero at 31/20 also comes into play.
