Tottenham head to Juventus in the Champions League this evening in what looks a huge last-16 task for the Premier League side.
Spurs go into the game on the back of a 1-0 win over Arsenal and were excellent in the group stages as they topped Group H, with 16 points from a possible 18, despite being drawn against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
Juve have lost just twice at home all season and both of those losses were dished out by Lazio, once in the Super Cup and once in Serie A, but they have a few key injuries and that could give Spurs a real chance.
Paulo Dybala’s absence in attack is a big blow to the Italian champions while Blaise Matuidi, Andrea Barzagli, Juan Cuadrado and Benedikt Howedes are also sidelined.
Spurs’ only absentee is Toby Alderweireld and they head to Italy unbeaten in their last five on the road, following a poor run of away form, and given Juve’s injury concerns they could get a result in Turin.
Tottenham are not the sort of side that play for draws but a two-legged European tie is a different matter and they are unlikely to take too many risks while Juve lack pace in attack without Dybala and may struggle to break the Spurs defence down.
