Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League tie with Chelsea but home advantage should swing tonight’s second leg in their favour this evening.
The away goal makes a big difference as the Premier League side have to score at some point if they are to have any chance of progress. That should make the game more interesting and give Barca a few chances as the game progresses as they look to book a quarter final spot.
Chelsea did manage a win in Spain in the group stages as they overcame Atletico Madrid 2-1 but their away form recently has been poor.
The Blues have just two wins in their last 11 away games in all competitions and have lost their last four on the road, while they failed to muster a single shot on target at Manchester City in their last away game.
Barcelona have lost just once at Camp Nou all season, against Real Madrid in the Super Cup in August, and won all three of their Champions League group stage games at home – including a 3-0 success over Juventus.
Barcelona are 10/19 to come out on top but Chelsea won’t roll over and will look to keep the game as tight as possible, particularly early on.
With that in mind the draw/home result at 3/1 is my top bet in the half-time/full-time market as the Premier League side will have to come out at some stage and try and nick a goal and that should give Barca more chances as the game progresses.
