Juan Martin del Potro overcame Milos Raonic en route to his Indian Wells success and he can see off the Canadian again in the Miami Open overnight.
Del Potro has been in good form in Miami with two successive staright-sets victories after needing three to get past Robin Haase in his opener, in what was his first match since claiming the Indian Wells crown.
Canadian Raonic is yet to drop a set but has not really faced any top quality opposition yet and the world number 25 has struggled to recapture the kind of form that saw him reach the Wimbledon final in 2016 over the last few months.
The manner of Del Potro’s victory over Raonic in California just under two weeks ago was so convincing – a 6-2 6-3 success in just over an hour – it is hard to see any kind of turnaround in Miami.
The Argentine world number six is 2/5 to come out on top but he may well be able to claim another straightforward win in this quarter-final clash and the 1/1 on a 2-0 win for Del Potro is my top bet in this match-up.
In the NBA the Boston Celtics look worth the risk at 49/20 to win at Utah Jazz, despite some big injury concerns. Kyrie Irving remains absent but the Celtics won without him in Phoenix and head into this clash on the back of a four-match winning streak.
Admittedly the Jazz have more to play for as they are yet to cement a playoff spot, but their form has dipped with two defeats in their last four after a nine-match winning streak and Boston could take advantage.
If you are looking for a safer option the 25/28 on the Celtics with a +7 handicap in the spread stands out.
