RB Leipzig host Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga this evening and the hosts may have one eye on their upcoming Europa League trip to Marseille.
This looks like a really hard game to call as Leipzig have one of the best home records in the German top flight and Leverkusen boast one of the best away records.
Bayer did slip to a loss at strugglers FC Koln in their last game on the road, although they were reduced to 10 men in the first half and were still arguably unlucky to come away with nothing despite losing 2-0.
Leipzig are on a three-game winning run but they do have a trip to France to come on Thursday and could be tempted to make a few changes to their side despite the battle for Champions League football in Germany, and it does seem a little harsh that they are scheduled to play tonight given their European commitments.
Leverkusen go into the game in sixth spot, one point behind Leipzig, and know a defeat would be a huge blow to their hopes of qualifying for Europe’s top competition. A win for either side would see them move above Eintracht Frankfurt and into fourth and Bayer may just be able to claim the three points here.
A Leverkusen win at 21/10 is my top bet in this match-up as Leipzig’s home form has slipped a little recently, with just two wins in their last five Bundesliga games at the Red Bull Arena, and a 1-2 result at 10/1 in the exact score market also appeals.
