Eagles aim to edge past Hornets

Crystal Palace can take a huge step towards Premier League safety if they can conjure up a win over Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

The Eagles could hardly wish for a better opponents, with the Hornets having little to play and failing to register a win in their last five league games while Palace have only lost one in four.

As always with the visitors, Wilfried Zaha is a pivotal figure, with his side failing to pick up a single point without him in the team.

He is a tempting 19/10 to score at any time, having found the net three times in his last two outings, while Yohan Cabaye at 15/2 is one to consider given he has scored in each of the last two league meetings between the two sides at the Vic.

Also bear in mind that none of the last nine clashes between these teams has been won by more than one goal, so a 1-0 Palace victory at 31/4 and the visitors to triumph by a one-goal margin at 57/20 both have some merit.

Palace do struggle to keep clean sheets, however, so you may want to dabble at 3/1 for the Londoners to win and both teams to score.

Meanwhile, at The Hawthorns, West Brom know they simply have to win against Liverpool to retain any hope of pulling off a miraculous escape from relegation.

Under caretaker boss Darren Moore the Baggies have shown plenty of fight in their last two games and they have a decent record at home to the Reds in recent seasons as well. They held the Merseysiders to three draws in a row prior to last season when they were only edged out by a single goal.

So maybe don’t expect a goal-fest, despite Mohamed Salah having scored eight times in his last five games to reach 40 for the season, with a 1-1 draw a decent price at 27/4 while a draw at full-time at 33/10 could pay dividends.

In the goalscorers market there seems little point in going with the likes of Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be one to watch, having impressed in recent games and being a useful 19/4 to score at any time.

Turning to the hosts, striker Jay Rodriguez has hit form, with three goals in his last four games, and he is a promising 27/10 to find the net at any time on Saturday.
