Marin Cilic and Kei Nishikori meet in the US Open quarter-finals this evening in a repeat of the 2014 final.
Nishikori to win @ 27/20
Cilic took the title four years ago with a straight sets victory but the Japanese hopeful could well turn the tables this time around.
Cilic has had a long season, while Nishikori seems to be close to his best form after returning from a long injury lay-off earlier in the year and I’m expecting the former world number four to be the fresher of the two players.
Nishikori won their most recent meeting, in Monte Carlo earlier this year, and leads the head-to-head 8-2, and at odds-against the world number 19 looks good value to claim a victory this evening.
Madison Keys to beat Carla Suarez Navarro 2-0 @ 23/20
Keys has been in excellent form in New York as she bids to go one better after finishing as the runner-up last year.
The American hopeful faces off against Maria Sharapova’s conqueror Suarez Navarro in the quarter-finals and Keys should have too much quality and power for the Spaniard.
Keys has dropped just one set so far at Flushing Meadows and was in devastating form as she downed Dominika Cibulkova last time out, if she can repeat that performance she should win comfortably in this last eight clash.
