All the momentum is with Castleford Tigers going into Friday’s Super League encounter with Hull FC and it could be a long night for the Airlie Birds at the KCOM.
Castleford -9.5 handicap @ 50/69
With Luke Gale back pulling the strings in the half-backs, Castleford once again look like the side that managed to blow away all before them in the regular season last term.
The Tigers go into Friday’s trip to the KCOM on the back of a 36-4 win over the Challenge Cup winners Catalans Dragons and Daryl Powell’s men are desperate for points as they go in search of a home play-off semi-final.
As for Hull FC they go into this game on the back of a club-record defeat at the hands of Warrington, having slumped to an 80-10 loss.
Expect a response from Lee Radford’s side but it should not be enough to beat the Tigers and Castleford should win comfortably even with the -9.5 handicap.
Warrington -12.5 handicap @ 25/27
Meanwhile, Warrington will be looking to build on that thrashing of the Black & Whites when they welcome Huddersfield Giants to the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday.
The Giants hopes of reaching the top four took a massive blow after defeats last time out to West Yorkshire rivals Wakefield Trinity.
It is still mathematically possible for Huddersfield to make the play-offs but they must overcome a six-point deficit with four games to play.
Warrington are on the warpath after missing out on the Challenge Cup and they will be a force to be reckoned with for the remainder of the campaign, so should have plenty to breeze past Huddersfield.
