Borussia Dortmund host Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga this evening and the hosts should be able to claim a victory – but it may not be straightforward for Lucien Favre’s men.
Dortmund to win and both teams to score @ 29/20
BVB have picked up four points in two league games so far this season after thrashing RB Leipzig 4-1 before being held to a 0-0 draw at Hannover.
Favre looks to be a good appointment as manager and they should improve as the weeks progress, but for now they still look a little suspect at the back and Frankfurt should be able to at least grab a goal this evening.
The visitors started the season with a Super Cup mauling at the hands of Bayern Munich and then suffered a shock DFB Pokal loss to minnows Ulm, but since the Bundesliga began they’ve managed a win and a loss and seem to have recovered from that cup setback.
Both teams have scored in the last five meetings between these two sides and I’m expecting that pattern to continue, but ultimately Dortmund should have the quality to come out on top with home advantage.
Rayo Vallecano to beat Huesca @ 43/20
Huesca made a solid start to life in La Liga with four points in their first two games but were brought back down to earth with a 8-2 thrashing at the hands of Barcelona prior to the international break.
Rayo are yet to pick up any points from their two games so far, but they impressed in a 1-0 defeat at Atletico Madrid in their last outing and were arguably unlucky to come away with nothing.
This is a match-up between two sides likely to be battling against the drop this season but Rayo may be able to edge this one and at a big price are worth the risk this evening.
