Goals expected at Wembley

There are eight more Champions League games to go at on Wednesday and the most entertaining fixture could come at Wembley as Tottenham host Barcelona.

Over 3.5 goals @ 27/20

The Blaugrana won two of their five European Cups in north London, beating Sampdoria in 1992 before returning to outclass Manchester United in 2011.

Things have hardly been easy for them in recent weeks, though, after failing to win any of their last three in La Liga.

Ernesto Valverde will be demanding a response but Spurs got back to winning ways at Huddersfield on Saturday and also dominated both Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid at Wembley last season.

Extra spice is added by Mauricio Pochettino being both a former player and manager at Barca’s city rivals Espanyol.

These two Group B sides look tough to split but expect goals in this game and over 3.5 certainly provides value.

Liverpool to win @ 23/20

The other English club in action on Wednesday are Liverpool and they face a tough task against Napoli.

An EFL Cup defeat to Chelsea suggested cracks in the Reds’ armour but they showed spirit to draw against the Blues in the league on Saturday.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri transformed Napoli into genuine Serie A challengers but they have struggled so far under Carlo Ancelotti and perhaps saw their Scudetto hopes already ended with Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Juventus.

The Partenopei still seem to be adapting to new tactics and considering Liverpool have lost only two of their last eight away games against Italian teams, a Reds win really tempts.

Lokomotiv to win @ 11/5

Finally and those eyeing the value should switch their focus to Group D where Lokomotiv Moscow welcome Schalke to the RZD Arena.

The Zheleznodorozhniki have won their last two after a run of four without a victory and have a point to prove after being defeated 3-0 at Galatasaray in their European opener.

Schalke got a win on the board at home to Mainz over the weekend and have a good continental record, losing only two of their last 12 on the road. In what is likely to be a tight game, back the home win at a superb price.
