With the second international break of the season done and dusted, the Premier League returns this weekend and it all kicks off with a huge clash at Stamford Bridge between Chelsea and Manchester United.
Chelsea to win to zero @ 37/20
The Blues have made an impressive start under new manager Maurizio Sarri and they head into the contest sitting second in the Premier League, having won six and drawn the other two of their eight matches.
Chelsea have kept four clean sheets in the league – shutting out Bournemouth, West Ham United, Southampton and Huddersfield Town – while they are unbeaten in their last 12 home matches in all competitions.
Interestingly, the south west London outfit have won three of the last four encounters against United at Stamford Bridge to nil, making the 37/20 price even more tempting.
The Red Devils did end a four-game winless run with a 3-2 comeback win at home to Newcastle United, but the 20-time English champions are still struggling to find consistency in all areas and it could be a miserable return to Chelsea for Jose Mourinho.
Bournemouth to win @ 21/20
A south coast derby takes place at the Vitality Stadium as Bournemouth go head-to-head with rivals Southampton, and the hosts look like a great price to continue their fine start to the campaign.
The Cherries are sitting sixth, just two points behind fourth-place Arsenal, and much of the good work has come on home soil with Eddie Howe’s men unbeaten in their own backyard in all competitions this season.
With the Saints failing to score in their last three league matches and netting just six times this term, Bournemouth, who are aiming for a third straight victory after wins over Crystal Palace and Watford, look primed to strike.
Yoshinori Muto to score anytime @ 11/4
Newcastle United are yet to pick up a win this season, but the Magpies will be hoping to turn things around when they welcome a Brighton side, that have not won away from home in the league in their last 17 matches, to St James’ Park.
Rafael Benitez’s men looked to be on course for their first win when taking an early 2-0 lead at Manchester United last time out, but three goals in the final 20 minutes ensured it was a frustrating trip back to the north east.
One positive to come from the loss was the performance of Japan international Yoshinori Muto, who scored the second goal and was denied a second from close range by David de Gea.
The 26-year-old is expected to lead the line once again this weekend against a Brighton side that last kept a clean sheet away from home in the league in November 2017, so the forward will be hoping to impress the Geordie faithful.
Sergio Aguero Total Shots on Goal – Over 3.5 @ 17/10
With Chelsea kicking off early on Saturday, Manchester City could find themselves knocked off top spot when their clash against Burnley at the Etihad Stadium gets underway.
Since suffering a shock 2-1 home loss to Lyon in the Champions League, the Citizens have racked up four victories and a draw in all competitions, keeping four clean sheets and scoring 12 goals in the impressive run.
Argentina international Sergio Aguero has been in red-hot form, scoring three in his last five outings, and he will be confident of adding to his tally against a Burnley side that have shipped 12 league goals so far.
The 30-year-old has also scored six goals from his last six games against the Clarets and it would be no surprise to see goalkeeper Joe Hart under intense pressure over the course of 90 minutes against his former employers.
Fulham win and BTTS @ 33/10
Cardiff City play host to Fulham in another of the 3pm kick-offs and goals are expected in Wales. The Bluebirds have lost their last six matches in all competitions and sit rock-bottom of the table, while Fulham are on a five-game winless run in the league.
Scoring goals has been an issue for Neil Warnock’s men but three of their four strikes have come on home soil, and there is every chance their tally could be added to this weekend.
The Cottagers shipped five against Arsenal last time out and are yet to keep a clean sheet this term, with manager Slavisa Jokanovic admitting he is struggling to get a consistent back four at the moment.
But Fulham do have strength in the attacking department with Aleksandar Mitrovic, Andre Schurrle and Luciano Vietto while they are unbeaten in the last seven meetings with Cardiff.
Also in action on Saturday, West Ham United play host to Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers will be aiming to keep their good run going at home to Javi Gracia’s Watford.
Xherdan Shaqiri to score anytime @ 37/20
In the late kick-off on Saturday, 18th-place Huddersfield Town have the formidable task of keeping Liverpool quiet at the John Smith’s Stadium.
The Reds have scored 15 league goals this season – Sadio Mane leading the club’s charts with four – and they head to West Yorkshire looking to extend their nine-game unbeaten run in the league.
Jurgen Klopp does have injury doubts over Mane and Mohamed Salah, and this could present a starting chance to both Daniel Sturridge and summer arrival Xherdan Shaqiri with the duo seeing limited game-time so far.
The Switzerland international has looked lively in his cameo appearances and he will be eager to make his mark if given the opportunity against a Terriers side that has conceded 17 times this season.
Everton to win @ 20/23
The only match on Sunday takes place at Goodison Park with Everton playing host to Crystal Palace at 4pm. After a poor run of form, the Toffees turned things around before the international break with back-to-back victories against Fulham and Leicester City.
As for Palace, their good spell was sharply ended with defeats to Bournemouth and Wolves, leaving the Eagles 14th in the table and just four points above the relegation zone ahead of the weekend’s fixtures.
The Merseysiders are unbeaten in the last seven meetings against Palace, winning three and drawing the other four.
