Thierry Henry tasted defeat in his first match in charge of French side Monaco but his wait for a first win can end at Club Brugge in the Champions League this evening.
The Ligue 1 club went down 2-1 at Strasbourg over the weekend but they were arguably unlucky to come away with nothing – despite being reduced to 10 men midway through the second half.
Monaco are now winless in 11 and have lost their last five but they take on a Brugge outfit who are also bang out of form.
The hosts have just one victory in their last five games and were held to a draw at home by a poor Waasland-Beveren outfit at the weekend.
The French side may be struggling but there were signs of encouragement in that defeat to Strasbourg on Saturday and, at a big price, Monaco look worth the risk in this Champions League match-up.
In one of the standout fixtures in the latest round of fixtures PSG entertain Napoli and I’m expecting goals in the French capital.
The French champions should have enough firepower to outgun their opponents, but PSG’s defence remains suspect and Napoli can find a way through at the Parc des Princes even if they do come away with nothing.
