Sporting to test Gunners’ strength

Arsenal have won 10 games in a row in all competitions but they face a major test of their mettle away at Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Gunners have scored at least twice in all of those victories but a large element in the outcome of the game in Portugal will be what sort of side head coach Unai Emery decides to field.

Arsenal to win @ 11/10

So far in the Europa League, Emery has opted to give some fringe players an opportunity to shine. However, he may be tempted to go with more experience for the bigger task of taking on Sporting.

In attack, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in deadly form at the moment, having scored seven goals in his last five appearances, so should he be utilised then you would have to fancy the visitors to come out on top.

Emery does have a number of injury worries to deal with but will be eager to see his side continue their excellent winning run and keep up the momentum, which is impressive so early on in his tenure.

Morata to score first @ 15/4

Chelsea are the second English team in Europa League action and they are expected to enjoy a straightforward home date with BATE Borisov.

Last time out, Alvaro Morata scored the only goal of the game as MOL Vidi were edged out at Stamford Bridge and the Spaniard will be keen to build on a slight improvement in fortunes in recent weeks.

Morata has scored twice in his last three outings for the Blues but is still a bit too skinny at 5/6 to score anytime against BATE.

Higuain to score anytime @ 5/4

Away from the English influence, AC Milan play host to Real Betis at the San Siro, with another in-form marksman set to be on display.

Gonzalo Higuain has netted in five of his last six appearances, including Europa League outings against Dudelange and Olympiakos.

The Argentinian missed out in the Milan derby loss to Inter at the weekend and will be keen to get back on the goal trail.

If you prefer the chance of a greater return, the 4/1 for Higuain to score the first goal of the game against Betis is a decent option.
