PSV to scupper Spurs’ hopes

Anything but victory for Tottenham against PSV Eindhoven could mean an end to the London team’s hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League for the second campaign in a row.

However, it will not be easy for Mauricio Pochettino’s side who conceded a late equaliser as they drew 2-2 in Eindhoven a fortnight ago.

PSV to draw against Tottenham @ 17/4

PSV will certainly be no pushovers at Wembley as, under Mark van Bommel, they have won their first 11 Eredivisie matches of the season, including a fine 3-0 victory against Ajax.

A draw would not help either side and would hand boosts to Barcelona and Inter Milan who meet at the Giuseppe Meazza. However, a 1-1 draw at Wembley looks good value at 17/2 while Barca can win both halves against Inter at 5/1.

Firmino to score first @ 4/1

Liverpool crushed Red Star Belgrade 4-0 at Anfield a fortnight ago and, although it is unlikely to be such a one-sided affair in Serbia, Jurgen Klopp’s team should be able to pick up another three points and move closer to the last 16.

Goals are likely against a defence which has conceded 10 in its last two European outings and Roberto Firmino looks a good price to open the scoring.

Napoli to beat PSG and both teams to score @ 57/20

If Liverpool do beat Red Star it would mean that either Napoli or Paris Saint-Germain will fail to qualify from the group and the Serie A side can aid their own cause by beating the French champions by a one-goal margin at 7/2.

Atletico Madrid will be desperate for revenge when they take on Borussia Dortmund in the Spanish capital just two weeks after being thumped 4-0 by the Bundesliga outfit.

Diego Simeone’s side may have to settle for a draw though, available at 27/10, as Dortmund are in great form at the moment and are four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga after defeating Wolfsburg at the weekend.
