After the thrills and spills of autumn international rugby over the last two weeks, the third round of fixtures is upon us and there are some intriguing contests ahead.
New Zealand to win -5.5 handicap @ 10/13
The All Blacks just scraped past England 16-15 in their last outing at Twickenham in what was a thrilling battle that went right down to the wire.
Ireland have only ever beaten New Zealand once in their history and have never overcome the All Blacks in Dublin.
The Kiwis gave England a 15-point headstart last week and that is something they are unlikely to be offering the Irish on Saturday.
With that in mind, it should be Steve Hansen’s side that come out on top, but expect a quality Irish outfit to have their moments in this match.
South Africa to win -3.5 handicap @ 20/23
Having suffered defeat once again in Cardiff, Scotland responded last week with an impressive thrashing of a physical Fiji outfit in Edinburgh.
Murrayfield really has become a fortress for the Scots as they have won nine of their last 10 Tests there, with their only defeat a narrow one against the All Blacks.
Gregor Townsend has rung the changes and has brought in some grunt in the pack, with Hamish Watson and Jonny Gray back in the starting XV.
If Scotland can continue to improve the defensive aspect of their game, they will cause the South Africa problems.
However, this is a Springboks side that are on the rise after a strong Rugby Championship and they should have enough to back up their victory in Paris last week.
