Lyon quick on the draw again

Lyon may have taken four points against Manchester City in the Champions League, but Bruno Genesio’s side still need to draw their last Group F match against Shakhtar Donetsk to confirm their place in the last 16.

Since winning 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium in September, the French side have been involved in three 2-2 draws, including one against Shakhtar, as well as a 3-3 draw at Hoffenheim.

Lyon to draw with Shakhtar @ 11/4

Lyon are fourth in Ligue 1 after losing 2-0 at home to Rennes last Wednesday and this week’s game, which has been moved to Kiev, is a difficult one to call.

Shakhtar have conceded 15 goals in their five group games although they enhanced their hopes of reaching the knockout stages by beating Hoffenheim 3-2 in Germany last month.

Neither has kept a clean sheet yet in Group F and that could be the case again on Wednesday, with yet another high-scoring match on the cards, and over 4.5 goals in the encounter is available at 3/1.

Ajax to draw 0-0 with Bayern @ 13/1

Table-topping Manchester City can beat Hoffenheim by a three-goal margin at 15/4, while in Group E Ajax and Bayern Munich, who are both unbeaten and conceded two goals in their five matches to date, can play out a goalless draw.

Benfica, who are guaranteed a spot in the Europa League, can keep a clean sheet at 10/11 against an AEK Athens team that have lost all five of their games so far.

For all their problems this season, Real Madrid can make it five wins from six Group G games by brushing CSKA Moscow aside, with Isco 6/1 to score the first goal, while Roma can beat Viktoria Plzen 1-0.

In Group H, Manchester United can edge to victory against a Valencia side that are 15th in La Liga after winning just three of their first 15 matches.

A win by a one-goal margin for Jose Mourinho’s team is available at 16/5, while Juventus, 5/1 to win the Champions League, can continue their imperious form in Europe by thrashing Young Boys 3-0 at 37/4.
