Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain contest the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie this evening and I’m expecting a few goals at Old Trafford.
Over 3.5 goals @ 9/5
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has implemented a more free-flowing attacking style of play since taking charge of United and they’ve scored 28 goals in the 11 games he’s overseen so far.
The Red Devils have managed back-to-back clean sheets going into this game but PSG will provide a bigger test to their backline than either Fulham or Leicester did and we should see goals at both ends in this match-up.
PSG downed Bordeaux 1-0 at the weekend and they seem to have eased off a little domestically of late. That isn’t particularly surprising given their insurmountable lead at the top of Ligue 1 and they should be fully fired up for this huge European night.
The visitors are without Neymar due to injury but in Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe, Julian Draxler and former United man Angel Di Maria they still have a wealth of attacking talent.
Two of United’s last four games have produced over 3.5 goals, as have two of PSG’s last four Ligue 1 fixtures, and over 3.5 goals looks a solid option in this showdown.
United midfielder Paul Pogba has four goals in his last five appearances and stands out at 37/20 in the anytime goalscorer market.
LA Lakers -5.5 @ 25/28
The Los Angeles Lakers are in desperate need of a win ahead of their Tuesday night trip to Atlanta Hawks as they attempt to get their postseason bid back on track.
The Lakers have struggled on the road of late with heavy defeats at Golden State, Indiana and Philadelphia but they should find the Hawks easier to deal with.
Atlanta have lost their last five at home and all of those defeats have been by at least eight points, and the Lakers should be able to beat a -5.5 handicap at the State Farm Arena.
