Ray Parlour
Affectionately nicknamed ‘The Romford Pele’, Ray is one of football’s great characters. In a career which saw him make nearly 500 senior appearances, he won numerous honours including three Premier Leagues and three FA Cups, as well as representing his country 10 times. Part of Arsenal’s invincibles during a 12 year stay with the Gooners, Ray is now a regular on talkSPORT radio.

If nothing changes tactically, I can’t see Chelsea winning…

West Ham vs Fulham West Ham will enter this match as strong favourites, given the struggles that Fulham has endured this season. It’s going to be very difficult for Ranieri to keep them up now, and although they enjoyed a brief resurgence in which they secured some decent results, the number of goals they concede […]

Every chance of an English double in Europe this season

Manchester United are unbeaten in their eleven matches under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Do you see that run continuing against PSG? When the draw was made, most United fans were fearing the worst. But now, the way they are playing under Solskjaer I think they’ve got every chance of going through. All their attacking players are […]

Liverpool to get back on track against Bournemouth

Fulham vs. Manchester United   It’s starting to get into must win territory for Fulham now. Seven points adrift of safety with 13 games to play, they’re running out of time. Somehow they’ve got to put together a little run of results and they’ll need to play like they did against Spurs a couple of […]

It might take a replay to separate Arsenal and Man United in the FA Cup

Arsenal versus Manchester United looks the pick of the FA Cup 4th Round ties this weekend. How do you see that one going? Really interesting tie. If you’d asked me after Arsenal’s game at West Ham, I’d have said they had no chance against United in the form they’re in. But then Arsenal went and […]

Points to be shared in top four battle at the Emirates

Your old side Arsenal are six points off Chelsea in fourth ahead of their meeting on Saturday evening. Do you see that gap closing this weekend?  Neither side has been on top of their game recently. I thought Chelsea played well at Spurs in the Carabao Cup but they lost on the night and they’re […]

I’d say Manchester United are more likely to finish above Arsenal than the other way round.

After two consecutive defeats, will leaders Liverpool return to winning ways against Brighton on Saturday?  I think they will. They rested a fair few players in that FA Cup defeat at Wolves so I don’t really see that one as a sign that they’re having a blip. The game at Man City was such a […]

Man Utd players must look at themselves too — not just the manager

The news broke about José Mourinho and Manchester United parting ways this morning – what is your take on the matter? It was a matter of when, not if. I’m not surprised at all. The players obviously weren’t playing for him, it’s been a really negative season for United – one I haven’t, and didn’t […]

English to sweep across Europe this season

Arsenal and Chelsea have both confirmed their places in the Europa League knockout stages. Do you think either could go on and win the competition?  I think there’s every chance of an English winner. Those two are rightly favourites and then you’ve got some big names, the Milan sides, Napoli and of course Sevilla who […]

Under the Anfield lights, Liverpool will blow Napoli away

Bad news for Arsenal with confirmation of the injury to Rob Holding. How much will that impact Unai Emery and his side? It’s a real blow for the club and obviously for Rob personally. He’s been playing really well of late and I think most Arsenal fans would agree he’s made massive strides. Emery’s been […]
