Afghanistan vs. Ireland 2021 : BACK AFGHANIS TO WIN BATTLE || 2nd ODI

Afghanistan vs. Ireland 2021

2nd ODI – Sun, 24th January

Afghanis Will Beat Foes:

On their comeback to international cricket, Afghanistan was victorious, as they enclosed Ireland in the first ODI previously in the week. Rashid Khan and Rahmanullah Gurbaz came up as winners with ball and bat, respectively.

However, they grieved a mini-collapse in the middle order but had sufficient to recuperate from that and scored a fighting total of 287. Naveen-ul-Haq gave a decent bowling show with Rashid and Mujeeb chipping two wickets each. They would primarily be eyeing for a much healthier outing of their middle batting order and covering up the series in this game.

They will want more identical stuff in the second ODI, as they aim for a series win. With Mohammad Nabi and Ashgar Afghan’s experience, Afghanistan will fancy their chances for a win on Sunday. Nevertheless, Ireland should not be any pushovers.

Possible playing XI: Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Javed Ahmadi, Asghar Afghan, Najibullah Zadran, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Gulbadin Naib, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Naveen ul Haq, Mujeeb ur Rahman.

Ireland Determined to Level Series:

Andy Balbirnie and co. Ireland will look to put up a stricter show with the bat. The responsibility will also be on Kevin O’Brien and Paul Stirling to come up with the goods against the likes of Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Naveen Ul Haq.

Everybody in their batting squad backed and wrestled till the end to chase a bulky total of 288. They will want to get a superior start from their frontline bowlers and transfer the momentum ahead to confine the rivals from notching quick runs.

Possible playing XI: Andrew Balbirnie, Gareth Delany, Simi Singh, Harry Teckor, Paul Stirling, Lorcan Tucker, Andy McBrine, Curtis Campher, Kevin O’Brien, Barry McCarthy, Craig Young.

The venue, Pitch Report, and Toss Prediction:

The second ODI between Ireland and Afghanistan will take place at the same venue, Sheikh Zayed Stadium, on 24th January Sunday.

As was the situation in the last game between the two sides, the wicket somewhat noticed both speedsters and spinners.

However, the batters will have to bide their time in the middle for going big, and wickets in hand will be vital. The surface should get slower as the game proceeds, which might lure either team to bat first on winning the toss.

Anything above 270 runs should be a fighting total at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

Success Looks on Cards For Afghanistan:

Afghanistan is the pure pick for this game. They enter this game at 1.40 while the Irish team is at 2.95. Owing to the last game’s performance, these odds seem a little biased. No doubt, the Afghans were heavier on Ireland, but the Irish team showed enough commitment to make the chase.

Hardly were the Ireland team loose on the field and in their bowling. Was it not done by debutant Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Afghanistan’s batting could have been choked to a meager total? Thus we reckon to play at better odds once the game begins as these odds seem deceptive, as mentioned earlier.

Rashid and Rahmanullah to Rate Tops Value:

Rashid Khan hit a quickfire 50 in mere 33 balls and chipped in with two crucial wickets for the Afghanistan team. No wonder he is the starboy who contributes to each department consistently. He should be as striking and remarkable in the upcoming game as well. Mark your eyes on those odds.

Debutant Rahmanullah barely looked as if he was playing his first ODI game. He struck an extraordinary century from the front and took his team to a dependable total. He looked oddly comfortable, and so will he be in this game. He shall be poised to score more.
