Bangladesh vs. West Indies 2021 : SHAKIB TO SPIN ANOTHER WEB || 2nd ODI

Bangladesh vs. West Indies 2021

2nd ODI – Fri, 22nd January

Mighty Tigers:

The Bangladeshi tigers were at their raging best in the last game. Shakib Al Hasan put an absolute show on exhibition in his international return that skittled out the visitors to a scanty total. The meager target made it a cakewalk for the home team chase.

Shakib was magnificently complemented by Hasan Mahmud and Mehidy Hasan’s spells. Bangladesh will idyllically look to win the series in this game by recording another victory. Given their depth in either department, the hosts would elaborate their chances.

Possible playing XI: Tamim Iqbal (C), Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim (WK), Hasan Mahmud, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Liton Das, Mustafizur Rahman, Mehidy Hasan and Rubel Hossain.

Inexperienced West Indies:

Despite being a quality deficit, West Indies did show sights of their potential with both bat and ball. Akeal Hosein and Kyle Mayers’ likes were remarkable and can prove lethal against the Bangla team in the upcoming game.

The element that there were seven single-digit numbers and prominent partnerships has been a significant concern. They did seem to be struggling to find consistency. Although the visitors enter this match as the underdogs, they indeed can spring a shock on the more-fancied home team.

Possible playing XI: Sunil Ambris, Andre McCarthy, Alzarri Joseph, Kyle Mayers, Joshua da Silva (WK), Raymon Reifer, Jason Mohammed (C), Rovman Powell, Nkrumah Bonner, Chemar Holder, and Akeal Hosein.

The venue, Pitch Report, and Toss Prediction:

The second ODI match between West Indies and Bangladesh will also be played at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on 22nd January.

A moderately high-scoring game summons at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium will offer some aid on offer for the bowlers.

The previous match saw the likes of Mustafizur Rahman and Hasan Mahmud get some movement off the wicket, which should be the situation on Friday.

The batters will need to bide their time in the middle before going hard, and wickets in hand could be decisive for both sides. With the surface likely to slow down as the game proceeds, both sides will prefer to bat first and post a fighting total. A total of over 250 should be about par at this ground and should help put some pressure on the chasing team.

The Caribbean Might Pose Some Threat:

Bangladesh profoundly deserves preference owing to their recent form and the outcome of the previous game. Bangladesh starts at 1.16 and the West Indies at 5.25.

Bangladeshi team is not reliant on their prejudiced Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Captain Tamim Iqbal any more. We witnessed every player contribute to the fullest at the correct time for a wholesome effort. With the home ground’s comfort and momentum carried from the previous game, the Bangla team should roar just as hard as they were.

The Windies did show some intent in between. And on paper, with these rates, they are purely out of contention. However, we reckon they might pose a fight, and there will be changes in these numbers. Thus wait for a better rate before placing bets.

GOAT Shakib And His Partners In Crime:

Shakib Al Hasan is undoubtedly one of the greatest cricketers witnessed in the Bangladeshi roster. His contribution with the bat and ball is enormous each time he is out in the middle. We witnessed some brutal show in the previous game. 4 wickets for 8 runs – the West Indies truly fell cheaply for Shakib’s spin.

Mehidy Hasan and Hasan Mahmud were the real partners in crimes. It wasn’t only Shakib chipping wickets from one end, and they were the heroes from the other end of the wickets.
