The Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the first CPL 2021 match. Guyana Amazon Warriors

In their first match, the Guyana Amazon Warriors won by a score of 142. So far, this is the lowest victory total of the CPL 2021 season. That number was reached owing to Shimron Hetmyer’s outstanding inning, in which he scored 54 runs off 41 deliveries, whereas the next greatest score in the whole match was 28.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors’ batting lineup has three major names: Hetmyer, Pooran, and King. We’ve also seen some strong form from Hemraj Chandrapaul and Odean Smith. The Warriors have a fantastic batting lineup with Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez.

Imran Tahir was the standout of the previous match’s bowling performance. He bowled swiftly, accurately, and with enough spin to keep the batters guessing. He will once again be the most dangerous menace. Romario Shepherd, who took three wickets in the last game, is another player to keep an eye on. Guyana’s bowling could suffer if the surface improves for batting, but we don’t believe they have a strong death bowler in their squad.

Guyana Amazon Warriors Squad

Brandon King, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Shimron Hetmyer, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Nicholas Pooran(w/c), Odean Smith, Romario Shepherd, Naveen-ul-Haq, Ashmead Nedd, Imran Tahir, Gudakesh Motie, Anthony Bramble, Waqar Salamkheil, Kevin Sinclair, Nial Smith

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots

Sherfane Rutherford is one of the Caribbean’s most gifted T20 cricketers, and we believe he has a strong chance of making the squad for the T20 World Cup. With Dwayne Bravo’s help, he got his squad out of another jam. They both hit four sixes and helped their team to a far-above-average total.

With Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle, Fabian Allen, and Asif Ali on the team, we believe the Patriots’ batting has more power than the Warriors’. With Rutherford and Allen in the lineup, the top-order will be able to play freely, and Dwayne Bravo’s batting rebirth is pretty impressive as well!

The Patriots’ bowling lineup is adequate but not spectacular. Dwayne Bravo is the designated death bowler and will rely heavily on his cutters. Fawad Ahmed, Sheldon Cottrell, and Paul van Meekeren are all capable bowlers, yet they are vulnerable to attack. We believe the batting will have to bail out its bowlers more than a few times in CPL 2021.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots Squad

Evin Lewis, Devon Thomas(w), Chris Gayle, Asif Ali, Sherfane Rutherford, Dwayne Bravo(c), Fabian Allen, Dominic Drakes, Sheldon Cottrell, Paul van Meekeren, Fawad Ahmed, Rayad Emrit, Ravi Bopara, Jon-Russ Jaggesar, Joshua Da Silva, Colin Archibald, Mikyle Louis

Toss Prediction, Pitch and Conditions

The team that wins the toss will almost certainly want to bat first. At the time of writing, the side that batted first has won all three completed matches.

The weather is predicted to be excellent, as it has been thus far. There will be no rain on match day. The surface began sticky and sluggish, but the amount of runs scored has grown with each encounter. We expect to see a decent batting surface once more for this match, where the par score batting first is 160-170.

Match Prediction

We will bet on St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots to win this match. We just believe they have a very dangerous batting lineup and a bowling lineup that is on par with the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots are the favorites to win this match.

Jamaica Tallawahs vs Barbados Royals – 6th Match

After winning its first match by 120 runs, the Jamaica Tallawahs issued a warning to the rest of the CPL 2021 teams. That match was a power-hitting showcase, demonstrating what the Tallawahs are capable of when everything goes perfectly. They will now face the Barbados Royals, who have already lost their first two games of the season and appear to be struggling.

On the surface, this match appears to be rather one-sided, but we are confident that there will be lots of excellent betting possibilities to be found. On August 29, 2021, the match will be held at Warner Park in Basseterre, St. Kitts.

Jamaica Tallawahs

The last match saw the Jamaica Tallawahs score 255, an incredible total, but it was fascinating to notice that the best score was just 50 not out! All of the batters came in and played at a high strike rate before the next one came in and did the same.

In the inning, 17 sixes were hit, considerably more than double the next greatest such output this season. Runs were given to Kennar Lewis, Andre Russell, Chadwick Walton, Haider Ali, and Rovman Powell. This is a really strong batting lineup that will be confident and in a good mood.

The bowlers didn’t have to do much since the opposition had to take a huge risk from the outset. Migael Pretorius and Imran Khan were the standout bowlers, but seeing Andre Russell bowl was encouraging.

If Russell can stay healthy, he will be a factor in every game he plays.

Jamaica Tallawahs Squad

Rovman Powell, Veerasammy Permaul, Carlos Brathwaite, Qais Ahmad, Chadwick Walton, Jason Mohammed, Andre Russell, Fidel Edwards, Ryan Persaud, Haider Ali, Migael Pretorius, Kenar Lewis, Abhijai Mansingh, Joshua James, Kirk McKenzie, Chris Green, Shamarh Brooks, Imad Wasim

Barbados Royals

In this encounter, the Barbados Royals confront a mountain to climb. They are up against a side that scored 255 in the last game, but its batting has been the worst thus far. We just don’t have a lot of faith in this roster, which has a few outstanding players but lacks the depth and strength to compete with the majority of the other teams in CPL 2021.

The same issue is plaguing its bowling lineup. Mohammad Amir took three early wickets against the Trinbago Knight Riders in the last encounter, but he just did not have enough help at the other end. Oshane Thomas was excellent, but the other batters exploited him and targeted the rest. We believed it was a mistake not to bowl Hayden Walsh merely because Pollard was at the crease, even though he may have gone for several runs.

The Barbados Royals are currently unstable and uncertain. It’s not the ideal position to be in while facing the Jamaica Tallawahs.

Barbados Royals Squad

Jason Holder, Glenn Phillips, Chris Morris, Raymon Reifer, Kyle Mayers, Oshane Thomas, Ashley Nurse, Shai Hope, Thisara Perera, Justin Greaves, Joshua Bishop, Hayden Walsh Jr, Johnson Charles, Nyeem Young, Mohammad Amir, Azam Khan, Shafiqullah Ghafari, Smit Patel, Jake Lintott

Toss Prediction, Pitch and Conditions

The team that wins the toss will choose to bat first. Three of the four completed matches have been won by the team batting first.

The pitch’s quality has significantly improved since our initial viewing. The ball is now coming on to the bat more consistently, and while there is still a lack of speed, the batsmen are making the most of some very short straight boundaries. Most matches have a lot of sixes to be had, but you may want to factor in another poor batting effort from the Barbados Royals.

A score of approximately 160 appears to be typical on the surface.

Match Prediction

We will bet on the Jamaica Tallawahs to win this game. They have spectacularly opened CPL 2021 and appear to be one of the teams to beat. With everything we’ve seen from the Tallawahs thus far and the lackluster performance of the Barbados Royals, it’s a no-brainer to support the Tallawahs to win.

Jamaica Tallawahs is the favourite to win this match.
