India vs. Australia 2020
2nd ODI – Sun, 29th November
Ind vs. Aus Match Prediction
The next One Day International between Australia and India is fixed at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday. While the hosts are boasting high of their sensational first game, India is currently languishing at the spectrum’s antipode.
The Aussies will supremely look to seal the series with a win on Sunday, but after a substandard loss, Virat Kohli and co is back in action tomorrow and would have other ideas in mind. India will hope to level the series tomorrow.
The Australian troop players appear more poised with their profound batting and bowling line up, but the Indian team might come back with fresh energy to curd the game. Hence, we predict team India will win the second game on the 29th.
India will win this game.
Team Preview
India needs to plug a lot of holes in all three departments to achieve the favorable. Their bowling seemed dreadfully out of shape, kept leaking runs, and neither picked up wickets at quick intervals. Even the batting roster wasn’t impressive. Despite going off to a flying start, they lost too many wickets in succession, building pressure on the lower order batsmen. Shikhar Dhawan and Hardik Pandya kept India in the hunt, but the target proved too much in the end.
Nevertheless, this Indian squad is well-resourced to turn things around in this ODI series, with the likes of Shreyas Iyer, IPL’s highest run-getter KL Rahul, and skipper Virat Kohli eager to make compensations for their no-show on Friday.
The hosts Aussies, in the meantime, mostly had a great match. The bowling unit showed character. Josh Hazlewood bowled fiercely up top, and spinner Adam Zampa picked up critical wickets in the middle overs. How not to forget the splendid batting roster. Skipper Aaron Finch did a magnificent job at the top and was backed by Steven Smith’s century.
We are set for a cracking game of cricket in Sydney, with the two best teams in the cricketing world set to clash on Sunday.
The venue, Pitch Report, and Toss Prediction:
As seen in the previous game, the wicket at SCG is normally pleasant to the batsmen. A reasonably high-scoring game is on the cards with little help on the bowlers’ bid at this ground. We witnessed some swing and turn off the wicket, but with the ball coming onto the bat, both teams will be looking to go big on the board.
The pitch could slightly slow down as the match proceeds, but it should remain stable for batters in the second innings as well. Both sides would ideally want to bat first upon converting the toss. Hence, both the teams will opt for the bat first on winning the toss as per our Match Prediction. Thus, the toss will be critical.
Key Players to watch:
- Strike bowler Jasprit Bumrah, All-rounder Hardik Pandya, and skipper Virat Kohli of India will be key players to watch.
- Skipper Aaron Finch, opening batsmen David Warner and veteran batsman Steven Smith of Australia will be key players.
