The IPL 2022 season has begun, with all teams playing their first matches. Teams are working hard to find a balanced squad to fill the void left by foreign players’ inability to play. The absence of Josh Hazelwood, Jason Behrendoff, and Glenn Maxwell from RCB’s current squad has little impact, whereas KKR is currently without Aaron Finch and Pat Cummins. KKR found the right balance and won their first match against defending champions CSK by 6 wickets, while RCB lost to KXIP by 5 wickets despite a strong showing with the bat.
The 6th match between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders will take place on March 30th, 2022 at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders Team Previews
RCB showed some very promising signs in its first match, even though it lost. It hit 13 sixes in its inning, all batsmen batted, and Faf du Plessis demonstrated that he is still a force to be reckoned with. Perhaps most importantly, Kohli batted fluently and aggressively against the spinners.
RCB was still defeated, owing largely to its poor bowling performance. Mohammad Siraj, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Akash Deep had a forgettable match. RCB has a lot of bowling depth on paper, and we expect it to put up a better fight this time.
In terms of batting depth and overall team balance, there’s a lot to like here. The only thing we didn’t like was that RCB was forced to face a lot of dot balls early on, which ultimately cost them the game.

KKR got off to a flying start in their first match, thanks to a brilliant opening spell from Umesh Yadav. He took two early wickets and did not bowl any freebies, which is not always the case with Umesh Yadav. Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine restricted runs in the middle, but Andre Russell and Shivam Mavi conceded runs at the end.
KKR’s team did not use Venkatesh Iyer in the previous match, but he can be expected to bowl his arm over if needed.
KKR’s batting performance was not particularly impressive, but it did not have to be. Ajinkya Rahane performed admirably and is someone to keep an eye on in the coming matches. The pitches in Mumbai are ideal for his style, and he enjoys opening the batting.
Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer, and Sam Billings lead a strong lineup that also includes Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. This lineup has a lot of versatility as well as a lot of power.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders Toss Prediction
The team that wins the toss will want to bat first. The team that has chased has won all four matches played in Mumbai. With dew falling on a regular basis, the chasing team has a significant advantage.
Pitch and Weather Conditions
The pitch at the DY Patil Stadium is fantastic. Over 400 runs were scored in the previous match, with 27 sixes hit, and we believe the same will happen in this match. The straight boundaries are quite short, but the square boundaries are quite large, allowing the spinners to participate.
We believe that teams batting first will aim for something in the 180-190 range.
The weather in Mumbai is bright and sunny, with little to no chance of rain on match day. We anticipate a complete match with no external interruptions. In the second inning, Dew could cause problems for the bowlers.
Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match Prediction
Despite a slow start, the RCB batting lineup formed partnerships in the middle and scored a big total. Their bowlers were woefully ineffective, lacking the control and consistency required on this wicket. Except for the death overs, KKR was clinical with the bat and ball in the previous game. Despite the absence of some players, they have a strong playing XI.
Royal Challengers Bangalore is the favourite to beat Kolkata Knight Riders at the odds of 1.72.
- In the IPL so far, KKR has a 14-13 win-loss record against RCB.
- On paper, RCB has a strong batting lineup, but KKR is not far behind.
- RCB has a four-match winning streak against KKR dating back to 2019.
