The return of action in the IPL 2021 seemed to have brought about a sense of peace in Indian cricket. Everything else fades into the background as the attention switches to the action on the field. The Delhi Capitals will face the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the following match.
The Delhi Capitals were leading the IPL 2021 rankings with six victories from eight matches when the tournament was called off. They have subsequently been joined at the summit by the Chennai Super Kings, who defeated the Mumbai Indians. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), on the other side, sits at the bottom of the standings, having won only one of their first seven games.
From a betting standpoint, you must exercise caution and keep in mind that upsets are common in the IPL. Every side has a match winner, and in some times, it is just better to pursue the odds over all else. The match will take place on September 22, 2021, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Team Previews
DC, unlike some of the other teams, has not been hampered by the absence of international players. In fact, it will welcome back Shreyas Iyer and R Ashwin and may be stronger than it was in the first half of IPL 2021. Chris Woakes, who has been replaced by Ben Dwarshius, is the lone major absentee.
DC has a very good team, and we anticipate it to open with a lineup similar to what it employed in the first half. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw will lead the challenge at the top of the order, with Shreyas Iyer, Rishab Pant, and Marcus Stoinis in the middle.
Steve Smith and Shimron Hetmyer were both utilized in the first half of the IPL, and we believe just one of them will make the squad. The circumstances for speed bowling have been very favorable in Dubai, so having Kagiso Rabada, Avesh Khan, Ishant Sharma, and Anrich Nortje vying for three slots is a fantastic position to be.
No matter whatever department you look at, DC’s team has a lot of depth. The danger here is that the balance will have to be restored upon the return of certain key players who will be inserted into the starting lineup.
Delhi Capitals Squad
Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Sam Billings, Shimron Hetmyer, Steven Smith, Vishnu Vinod, Axar Patel, Chris Woakes, Lalit Yadav, Marcus Stoinis, Ripal Patel, Tom Curran, Amit Mishra, Anrich Nortje, Avesh Khan, Ishant Sharma, Kagiso Rabada, Lukman Meriwala, Manimaran Siddharth, Praveen Dubey, Umesh Yadav, Shams Mulani, Aniruddha Joshi
Predicted XI: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Steven Smith/Shimron Hetmyer, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (capt, wk), Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, R Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Avesh Khan
SRH is also lacking a key player for the second half of the IPL 2021 season. They will be missing Jonny Bairstow and will be joined by Sherfane Rutherford. We believe this is a positive development since Rutherford is in excellent form and will help to bolster the middle order.
SRH actually dropped David Warner from the playing eleven in the first half, but with Bairstow out, he will be free to play again. A motivated David Warner is capable of winning matches on his own, but his recent dismal record makes us hesitant to bet on him just yet.
For SRH, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, and perhaps Sherfane Ruhterord will bat first, followed by Abdul Samad and Rashid Khan. A lengthy batting order, but one that will have to establish itself in match play.
Rashid Khan will be the main threat in the bowling department, and he will need the Indian pacers to back him up. In the first half of the IPL, Sandeep Sharma, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Vijay Shankar, and Khaleel Ahmed all performed significantly below their potential.
This bowling section will be SRH’s major weakness once again.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Squad
David Warner (c), Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Priyam Garg, Shreevats Goswami, Virat Singh, Wriddhiman Saha, Abdul Samad, Abhishek Sharma, Jason Holder, Kedar Jadhav, Mohammad Nabi, Vijay Shankar, Basil Thampi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jagadeesha Suchith, Khaleel Ahmed, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, Shahbaz Nadeem, Siddarth Kaul, Jason Roy
Predicted XI: David Warner, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Kane Williamson (capt), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Jason Holder, Abhishek Sharma/Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan
Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Toss Prediction
The team that wins the toss will almost certainly want to bat first. There is a tiny statistical advantage to batting first, but the surface has been fairly good, so we don’t think it should be a major issue when betting on the winner.
To Win the Toss – Delhi Capitals – 1.85
To Win the Toss – Sunrisers Hyderabad – 1.85
Pitch and Weather Conditions
The surface in Dubai was a little greener than expected, but it had a decent amount of bounce and provided some assistance to the pacers. That will alter as the matches progress, and we believe it will tilt heavily in favor of the batsmen. The spinners may struggle to make an impression in the early stages of the IPL 2021 second stage.
Batting first, we believe a score of about 180 is enough.
Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Match Prediction
We’ll bet on Delih Capitals to win, but we don’t think they have as much of an edge over Sunrisers Hyderabad as you may think. Once the game has begun, be clever and hedge your bets with in-play bets. Overall, the Delhi Capitals have a stronger collection of Indian players, more batting depth, and a bowling attack that should thrive in the circumstances.
Delhi Capitals is the favorites to beat Rajasthan Royals at the odds of 1.67.
- The Delhi Capitals had won six of their eight games in India, which would boost their confidence.
- Sunrisers Hyderabad will be under pressure to produce after losing six of their last seven games.
- Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan, and Prithvi Shaw of the Delhi Capitals have already scored over 800 runs between them.
