The IPL 2021 season has returned, and we are in the UAE to finish the final group matches before the playoffs. It looks that spectators will be permitted to attend the contests as well! The next match will be between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Because a lot of international players are unavailable and teams are playing at a completely different location, this match represents a bit of a fresh start for each side. However, the prior matches’ points still count, and here is where KKR falls short.
KKR is second from the bottom of the standings with two victories in five games, while RCB has won five of its seven games.
From a betting standpoint, the inclusion of new participants introduces some uncertainty into the mix, which is usually a positive thing when looking for value in the market. On September 20, 2021, the match will be held at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Team Previews
Kolkata Knight Riders (Match Odds – 2.20)
Almost every team has dealt with player availability difficulties, and KKR is no exception. Pat Cummins will not be available for the remaining bouts, which is a huge setback. Pat Cummins was not only the highest wicket-taker for the KKR, but he was also the only batter to score at a strike rate of more than 150.
His loss will undoubtedly be felt, and we do not believe Tim Southee (his successor) is well-suited to the circumstances in the UAE.
KKR’s batting was a major issue, with Shubman Gill and Eoin Morgan underperforming and Andre Russell unable to get going. There is still a lot riding on Gill’s performance at the top of the order, and Russell has been in excellent form in the CPL.
The other players in the top-order are Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, and Dinesh Karthik. Overall, the batting is weaker than that of RCB.
Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy are anticipated to be the KKR’s major weapons in the UAE, but Lockie Ferguson should not be overlooked. Ferguson is a world-class T20 bowler with true pace, a fantastic yorker, and a brilliant slower delivery.
Kolkata Knight Riders Squad
Nitish Rana, Shubman Gill, Rahul Tripathi, Eoin Morgan (c), Dinesh Karthik (wk), Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, Sunil Narine, Shivam Mavi, Prasidh Krishna, Varun Chakravarthy, Harbhajan Singh, Shakib Al Hasan, Ben Cutting, Karun Nair, Pawan Negi, Kuldeep Yadav, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Sheldon Jackson, Sandeep Warrier, Tim Seifert, Lockie Ferguson, Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Vaibhav Arora
KKR should stay with the opening pair of Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana, with Rahul Tripathi batting at No. 3. They’ll also want their middle-of-the-order to be effective this season in order to get the most out of Andre Russell.
To bring more consistency to their batting, the two-time IPL winners might select Shakib Al Hasan instead of Sunil Narine.
Predicted XI: Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, Eoin Morgan (c), Dinesh Karthik (wk), Andre Russell, Shakib al Hasan, Varun Chakravarthy, Prasidh Krishna, Lockie Ferguson and Sandeep Warrier
Royal Challengers Bangalore (Match Odds – 1.67)
As a result of the absence of certain important players, RCB has made a number of changes to its team. In our IPL 2021 Preview, we discovered that RCB made a number of wise selections. Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmanth Chameera, George Garton, Tim David, and Akash Deep have all joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore roster.
The most significant loss is that of Washington Sundar, who contributed significantly to RCB’s powerplay and might bat lower in the order.
As the IPL returns, a lot of things stay the same for RCB. Devdutt Padikkal has added a high-quality batting option at the top of the order, with Virat Kohli the most likely to join him. RCB utilized the third base position as a floater and moved up some pinch hitters. Glenn Maxwell will be ranked fourth, followed by AB de Villiers.
This is already a fantastic hitting order, and RCB will be spoilt for options in the other crucial positions. We believe Mohammed Azharuddeen may be given an opportunity to bat at number six, or Kyle Jamieson may continue to fill that role. Wanindu Hasaranga can also bat, providing the RCB another solid all-rounder.
Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj, and Yuzvendra Chahal are all expected to be in the starting lineup, with room for one or two more bowlers.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Squad
Virat Kohli (c), Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers (wk), Shahbaz Ahmed, Daniel Sams, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Daniel Christian, Sachin Baby, Srikar Bharat, Scott Kuggeleijn, Navdeep Saini, Pavan Deshpande, Mohammed Azharuddeen, Washington Sundar, Finn Allen, Suyash Prabhudessai
Despite the loss of certain international players, RCB’s strongest playing XI should remain same. Because of his all-around abilities, Wanindu Hasaranga should be able to walk right into the side. Both Rajat Patidar and Shahbaz Ahmed should be retained in the team.
Predicted XI: Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Rajat Patidar, Wanindu Hasaranga, Shahbaz Ahmed, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj and Yuzvendra Chahal
Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Toss Prediction
The side that wins the toss will want to field first in order to try to catch the target. The pitch is unlikely to vary significantly, and the outfield is also fairly fast. The chasing team won six of the past seven IPL 2020 matches played in Abu Dhabi.

Pitch and Weather Conditions
Abu Dhabi’s pitch is flat and typically conducive to batting. It bounces nicely and lets the batters to play their strokes freely. Bowlers must fight hard for their wickets, although spinners can typically rely on the surface for some assistance. The size of the borders is also fairly enormous.
Batting first, the par score is projected to be about 170.
