Islamabad United have marched to the top of the PSL 2021 points table with a couple of leading performances in the last few days. Although they are lacking the services of Faheem Ashraf, Islamabad have more than made up for it with the likes of Colin Munro and Asif Ali providing with the bat.

Iftikhar Ahmed has been the shock package with his strong batting approach, helping his team win a couple of matches. With Hasan Ali also heading the bowling attack splendidly, Islamabad are within touching space of clinching a top-two finish.

They will start into the match on the back of a spectacular win over Karachi Kings, which saw Hazratullah Zazai slam a quick-fire fifty at the top of the order. Peshawar Zalmi’s bowlers have been crucial to their chances and they will bank on skipper Wahab Riaz to deliver the goods yet again.

Although the wicket at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium has been erratic, the speedsters have relished the conditions. They should get the ball to move and swing around early on with extra bounce also on bid. While dew might be a component in the second innings, the spin bowlers should still be able to obtain some turn. Both sides will look to chase upon winning the toss, with 165-175 being a modest total at this ground.
