Pakistan Super League 2020 FINAL: KRK vs. LHQ – Tue, 17th November
Pakistan Super League 2020 Match Prediction:
The world will finally witness a new PSL champion with Karachi Kings taking on Lahore Qalandars for the final battle. The match will be played at the National Stadium Karachi on 17th November. Whether it’s Karachi Kings or Lahore Qalandars, both teams equally deserve to win the title. But who’re the favorites to win the match?
They have faced each other twice in this season, with each winning once. Both teams are laced with some of the finest players in this format. Whether it’s their batting or bowling, there is quality everywhere. Our PSL Match Prediction predicts that KRK will win the title under the captaincy of Imad Wasim.
Led by Imad Wasim, the Karachi Kings have a potent bowling attack spearheaded by Mohammad Amir. Their batting lineup is almost equally potent, with the power-packed trio of Sharjeel Khan, Alex Hales, and national skipper Babar Azam set to join forces again. Azam, who finished on top of the run-scoring charts in the league stage, will be crucial to their fortunes, and the Kings have the experience of Cameron Delport and Iftikhar Ahmed to fall back on as well in the proceedings.
Despite making it to their first knockout match in PSL history, the Lahore Qalandars have had to wait nearly eight months for a chance to create history. Although they don’t have the luxury of Chris Lynn for this match, the Qalandars are well-equipped in either department. While their batting squad boasts of the likes of Fakhar Zaman and Ben Dunk, it is their pace attack of Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, and Dilbar Hussain that will be in the spotlight in this encounter.
Although both teams look well-matched on deck, the Karachi Kings might fancy their chances owing to their superior bowling unit. However, it is anybody’s game at the moment, with both teams looking to make history and clinch the title.
The venue, Pitch Report, and Toss Prediction:
The match will be played at the National Stadium Karachi. In all the three games played during playoffs, the pitch has assisted the batsmen, and hence another relatively high-scoring encounter is on the cards. With this being an evening fixture, the ball should skid on to the bat nicely, with dew expected to play a crucial role as the match progresses. However, the batsmen will be wary of early swing from the pacers, who will likely cut down pace deliveries towards the innings’ end.
Our PSL Match Prediction predicts that anything under a total of 170 will be easy to chase. Therefore, captains will opt to bat first on winning the toss and aim to put up a high count on the board. Albeit, toss will be very crucial.
Key Players to watch:
- Babar Azam, Alex Hales, and Mohammed Amir from Karachi Kings and Tamim Iqbal, David Wiese, and Haris Rauf from Lahore Qalandar will be key players to watch out for.
