New Zealand vs. West Indies 2020

2nd Test Match – Fri, 11th December

NZ vs. WI Match Prediction:

New Zealand will clash with visitors West Indies in the second Test in the two-match series at Basin Reserve in Wellington on Friday. The hosts won the first match, credits to their Skipper Kane Williamson and the bowlers.

New Zealand trounced West Indies by an innings and 134 runs in the first game. Williamson played a fabulous career-best knock of 251 runs to start, followed by the bowlers restricting the Caribbean team to meager 138 runs in first innings and 247 in the following innings. Thereby reaching 240 points on the World Test Championship points table followed by this win.

The West Indies Bowlers were ineffective throughout the game. Despite a greenish track, they couldn’t capitalize on the advantage of winning the toss and electing to bowl first. Match tips state they seemed economical initially but soon started leaking runs once the batters were set.

The batting effort put by them was too substandard. They got out for a miserable 138 runs in their first innings. They somehow managed to get a couple of partnerships in both innings. Although, as per betting tips, they will need many more of it to topple the mighty New Zealanders.

Caribbean captain Jason Holder had some tough words for his team after the first Test’s loss, and they will look to put in a much-improved show in the second Test. Meanwhile, the Black Caps will look to go upper in the WTC points table with a win in the upcoming game, as says the match tips.

Betting tips favor the Blackcaps, who outclassed the Windies in the first game. And our today match prediction foresees the same.

New Zealand will win this game.

Team Preview:

Betting tips foresee New Zealand should play an unchanged winning side after a fruitful outing in the first Test. They won’t risk playing BJ Watling for this game for his injury, and it will provide Will Young with an additional chance to prove himself.

Shimron Hetmyer should make it to the team in place of the injured Shane Dowrich. Shamarh Brooks had a poor run in the first Test, but he should make it to the squad since he’s the only wicketkeeper on the roster. Today match prediction claim Young newbie Chemar Holder should make his debut in place of Kemar Roach, who is also injured.

The venue, Pitch Report, and Toss Prediction:

The pitch at the Basin Reserve wellington offers a lot to the bowlers as well as the batters. The skippers will bowl first after winning the toss as the pacers will get ample assistance early on in the game.

The spin bowlers will come into play mostly on day four or five as the wickets wear out. The ball should come on perfectly, and the batters can score abundantly once they settle down and consume some time out in the middle.

Key Players to watch:

Skipper Kane Williamson, opening batsman Tom Latham and Tim Southee of New Zealand will be key players as per today match prediction.

Match tips claim Captain Jason Holder, all-rounder Roston Chaseand Jermaine Blackwoodof West Indies will be the key player to watch.
