Quetta Gladiators vs Lahore Qalandars Team Previews
The Quetta Gladiators have struggled in PSL 2022, and the team appears to be struggling to find the right balance. Neither its batting nor bowling has met the required standards. One batsman who has made a name for himself is Ahsan Ali, who appears to be another excellent prospect for Pakistan.
He is currently the fourth-highest run-scorer in the PSL 2022, with 204 runs at an average of 68 and three fifty-plus scores in four matches. He might be someone you can count on to score some runs in this match as well.
Aside from him, the rest of the batting order is a little shaky. Sarfaraz Ahmad, Ben Duckett, Shahid Afridi, and Iftikhar Ahmed are all struggling with their form. Perhaps Quetta should consider bringing back Will Smeed for this match and beefing up its batting a bit, as it is astonishing that he is not able to make the playing eleven after scoring 97 in his first match of the tournament.
James Vince is another promising young player who appeared in the previous game. His overall form in T20 cricket has been so good recently that betting on him to score runs isn’t a bad idea either.
The Quetta Gladiators’ bowling attack is also lacking. Sohail Tanvir, James Faulkner, and Shahid Afridi are not the bowlers they once were. Mohammad Nawaz and Naseem Shah have each taken six wickets in the PSL 2022.
The Quetta Gladiators have a good team, and we believe they can be quite dangerous if they just switch some players around and get their batting positions correct. Don’t write them off.
Quetta Gladiators Squad
Ahsan Ali, Abdul Bangalzai, James Vince, Sarfaraz Ahmed(w/c), Ben Duckett, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Shahid Afridi, James Faulkner, Sohail Tanvir, Naseem Shah, Umar Akmal, Jason Roy, Shimron Hetmyer, Luke Wood, Daniel Lawrence, Ghulam Mudassar, Ashir Qureshi, Ali Imran, Will Smeed, Khurram Shahzad
Predicted XI: Ahsan Ali, Abdul Bangalzai, James Vince, Sarfaraz Ahmed (c & wk), Ben Duckett, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Shahid Afridi, James Faulkner, Sohail Tanvir, Naseem Shah
In PSL 2022, the Lahore Qalandars have had a lot of success. They have now won their next three matches after losing their first match of the season. We already knew their bowling was strong coming into the tournament, but their batting has also performed admirably.
Of course, we’re referring to Fakhar Zaman’s batting! The left-hander has been incredibly consistent and is the PSL 2022’s leading scorer thus far. In four innings, he has 286 runs, one century, and two fifties. In addition, he had 10 sixes and 33 boundaries.
Fakhar Zaman is carrying the Qalandars’ batting on his shoulders, and we believe the real challenge will come when he fails.
Phil Salt, Harry Brook, and David Wiese provide the Lahore Qalandars with a strong middle-order with depth.
The Lahore Qalandars are most dangerous when it comes to bowling. They appeared to be doomed in the previous match, but Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf put on a death-bowling clinic to help them defeat Islamabad United.
Rashid Khan has also been outstanding, resulting in three of the best bowlers in the world in the T20 format playing for the same team. Because of this, the Lahore Qalandars will always be dangerous.
Lahore Qalandars Squad
Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafique, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Hafeez, Philip Salt(w), Harry Brook, David Wiese, Rashid Khan, Shaheen Afridi(c), Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan, Samit Patel, Ben Dunk, Dean Foxcroft, Matty Potts, Sohail Akhtar, Mohammad Imran Randhawa, Maaz Khan, Akif Javed, Zeeshan Ashraf, Ahmed Daniyal, Syed Faridoun
Predicted XI: Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafique, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Hafeez, Phil Salt (wk), Harry Brook, David Wiese, Rashid Khan, Shaheen Afridi (c), Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan
Quetta Gladiators vs Lahore Qalandars Toss Prediction
The team that wins the toss will prefer to bat first.
Pitch and Weather Conditions
The weather in Karachi remains pleasant, but it appears that the pitch has begun to change. It has slowed significantly in recent days, and chasing down the big targets appears to be more difficult than ever. The outfield is still very fast, and the dimensions of the field are not very large, so scores remain high. Chasing, on the other hand, is much more difficult unless we see a lot of dew.
Quetta Gladiators vs Lahore Qalandars Match Prediction
We’ll bet on the Lahore Qalandars to win. They have been the superior team by a wide margin. The Quetta Gladiators have a dangerous lineup, but betting on them in their current form is difficult. They are up against the strongest bowling lineup in the PSL 2022, and their batting woes appear to be continuing.
Lahore Qalandars is the favourite to beat Quetta Gladiators at the odds of 1.67.
- The Lahore Qalandars have a more potent bowling attack.
- The Quetta Gladiators have a better batting lineup than their statistics indicate.
- Fakhar Zaman is on fire and gives the Lahore Qalandars a huge advantage.
