Pakistan vs. South Africa : THE BATSMEN’S GAME || 2nd T20I

Pakistan vs. South Africa 2021

2nd T20I – Sat, 13th February

Rizwan Ready to Rip it:

 Hosts Pakistan got South Africa’s more superior in the first T20I, courteousness Mohammad Rizwan’s first T20I ton. Shaheen Afridi and skipper Babar Azam were underwhelming with ball and bat, respectively, but Pakistan’s exceptional depth and stability saw them flank out the Proteas by three runs.

They did get off to the worst start with losing their skipper in a rather unfortunate way. However, they stood up well and sturdy enough.

With impetus on their side, the home team will fancy a win to take an undeniable lead in the series. But they will have to be cautious of South Africa. Despite missing many first-team regulars, South Africa gave a good roster of themselves in the first T20I.

Possible playing XI: Babar Azam (C), Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Nawaz, Hasan Ali/Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Asif Ali, Faheem Ashraf, and Usman Qadir.

South Africa Need to Improve:

Janneman Malan and Andile Phehlukwayo especially stood out for the South African side. Barring those two and Reeza Hendricks, none of them managed to get going, which costs the visitors. On the Other Hand, South Africa’s pace line up needs to step up.

A lot will also travel on the shoulders of skipper Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller, as they have abundant experience in the game’s quickest format. They lack the experience of playing spinners in the subcontinental conditions; hence they will be eyeing for somebody to launch a raid on the Pakistani spinners.

Possible playing XI: Reeza Hendricks, Janneman Malan, David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen (C&WK), Dwaine Pretorius, Andile Phehlukwayo, JJ Smuts/Jacques Synman, Tabraiz Shamsi, Bjorn Fortuin, Junior Dala, and Lutho Sipamla.

The venue, Pitch Report, and Toss Prediction:

The second T20I between the host’s Pakistan and South Africa, takes place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 13th February Saturday. Another aggressive game of cricket summons in Lahore, as there could be sufficient help on offer for the bowlers.

There was plenty of turn offered for the spin bowlers in the first T20I. The speedsters could get extra bounce and swing early on. And, considering the conditions, 165-175 could be a par-score at this ground.

Tops Value:

While Pakistan has impetus and skill and is the favourites in the match, the South Africans are more than competent at bouncing an upset. With their spin bowlers establishing to be successful in the first T20I, the Proteas will fancy their prospects of flattening the series in what could be another exciting game at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Pakistan starts with the odds of 1.44, while the visitors are at 2.50. T20I can see quick transitions and can upset the odds too swiftly. Hence, using the right resources can be prudent. Owing to the last game and other recent performances, we reckon Mohammad Rizwan, Janneman Malan, and the captains of either side will be the players to watch out for.
