Peshawar Zalmi vs Multan Sultans : MULTAN TO DOMINATE || Pakistan Super League 2021 Match 5

Pakistan Super League 2021 Match 5

Peshawar Zalmi vs Multan Sultans Match Prediction – Tue, 23rd February

Peshawar Poised:

Zalmi got off to a disappointing start against the more liked Lahore Qalandars. But it wasn’t all sad news. They demonstrated courage and fight to come back from a sluggish start triggered by a clatter of wickets.

On a usually tricky Karachi pitch, a first-innings total of 140 against the likes of Rashid Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi was far from a shame. And their bowlers pushed to their task, taking six wickets but going out of the shaky room.

Ravi Bopara hit a 50, and Saqib Mahmood was potent with the ball. There was no space for David Miller, which was the correct call seeing Shoaib Malik’s directing hands, as an alternative for Sherfane Rutherford’s all-round talents.

Possible playing XI: Imam-ul-Haq, Kamran Akmal, Amad Butt, Ravi Bopara, Sherfane Rutherford, Wahab Riaz, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Shoaib Malik, Haider Ali, Saqib Mahmood, Mohammad Imran.

Multans Mope:

Multan must still be rubbing their heads on how they did not begin their contest with a win. After putting up a decent 150, they were in total command at 74 for six. Faheem Ashraf and Lewis Gregory’s bats cut a path through the lining, going on such a striking spree that United triumphed with an over to save. They still needed 34 off the last three. Sohail Tanvir and Muhammad Umar came in for a specific stick.

Loss checked Mohammad Rizwan’s self-confidence. The wicketkeeper-batsman has hardly put a foot incorrect this year, but there will be concerns that his methods were found in need. Conceivably it can be rejected as a blip. There’s nothing wrong with Multan’s stability. In time they will find space for one of Qais Ahmed and Imran Tahir, too.

Possible playing XI: Mohammad Rizwan, Chris Lynn, Shahid Afridi, Rilee Roussouw, Khusdil Shah, Carlos Brathwaite, Sohail Tanvir, James Vince, Sohaib Maqsood, Mohammad Umar, Sohaibullah.

The venue, Pitch Report, and Toss Prediction:

Before the beginning of this camping, eight of the last 10 PSL games at the Karachi National Stadium had been won by the team batting second. The first two matches this edition have followed the craze – Lahore by four wickets and Karachi winning by seven. Multan allowed the team down when collapsing to defend in the second game on Sunday.

Still, more than 165 has now been broken only four times in the last 15 games. Putting 165 or more is improbable to be an option, though, at even cash because the market is prudent. We are keeping an eye on thick odds in the last two-three overs of the initial dig, estimating it could pay to go massive with 30 or more arriving.

Tops Value:

Considering the recent presentation and the class of both sides, Multan Sultans can be projected to win their first game of this edition. Multans enter this game as favourites at the odds of 1.76. Whereas the Peshawars trail behind with the odds of 2.00.

Watch out for Imam and Haider Ali for top batters in this game. Considering Imam, an elegant stroke master, to open the innings, he shall prove lethal to prove his worth.
