Indian Super League 2021 Match 28
Rajasthan Royals v Sunrisers Hyderabad – May 2nd
Sunrisers Hyderabad:
Sunrisers Hyderabad is entrenched at the base of the IPL 2021 points table, with only two points from six matches this edition. While their middle-order worries have cost them a match or two, SRH’s exhausted bowling line-up also hasn’t aided their cause.
Although the likes of Jonny Bairstow and Kane Williamson have played their role to perfection, David Warner’s form in IPL 2021 has been a reason for worry. The injuries to T Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar make problems harsher for the Sunrisers. Nevertheless, they have enough firepower in their roster to unveil a comeback, much like they did in IPL 2020. With Khaleel Ahmed and Manish Pandey showing signs of progress, Sunrisers Hyderabad is a difficult nut to crack. Although, the captaincy change may change their fortunes.
Possible playing XI: David Warner, Kedar Jadhav/Abdul Samad, Manish Pandey, Jagadeesha Suchith, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Kane Williamson (c), Vijay Shankar, Rashid Khan, Siddarth Kaul, Khaleel Ahmed and Sandeep Sharma.
Rajasthan Royals:
Their rivals, the Rajasthan Royals, have won only two out of their six matches and have also encountered personnel worries. Despite Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes being ruled out, the Royals have shown audacity and fortitude under the guidance of Sanju Samson, who seems to have completely struck a chord with stability. With Chris Morris and Jos Buttler also looking in decent form in their last IPL 2021 fixture, the Royals will like a victory to give their playoff hopes a raise.
Possible playing XI: Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, Riyan Parag, Chris Morris, Rahul Tewatia, Shreyas Gopal/Jaydev Unadkat, Sanju Samson (c&wk), David Miller, Mustafizur Rahman and Chetan Sakariya.
The venue, Pitch Report, and Toss Prediction:
A high-notching game signals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, where the ball slides on to the bat pretty well. There isn’t a lot of seam movement off or swing in the surface, letting the batters go on the assault from ball one.
The spin bowlers will come into play as the game proceeds, with the square ropes playing into their hands. With this being a day match, the wicket could be dry, which could tempt the bowlers to take speed off the ball. Although both sides will look to bat upon securing the toss, situations shouldn’t change much during the match. 175-185 is standard at this ground, with wickets in hand being crucial.
Tops Value:
While the Royals do have a young squad in spot, they hold the benefit moving into the game, given the balance and depth of their roster. But their bowling line-up will have to deal with SRH’s formidable top order, with David Warner being the man to look out for on Sunday.
And so, do our bookkeepers think, as Sunrisers will start this game at the odds of 1.83 and Royals trail at 2.00. Contrary to common belief, Sunrisers essentially have a very poor reputation defending. However, we believe, the Sunrisers are due for some fire and will make a comeback under the Captaincy of Kane Williamson.
Generally, both sides will be anxious to secure a victory in Delhi, with the IPL 2021 points table gradually taking form with each passing match.
