Indian Super League 2021 Match 18

Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders – April 24th

Kolkata Knight Riders:

Both Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders have been disappointing in IPL 2021 so far, winning just one of their four games. The Knight Riders will start into the game on the back of three straight defeats.

While their all-rounders have made an impact, the likes of Eoin Morgan and Shubman Gill have upset with the bat in IPL 2021. Their bowling line-up has also flopped to deliver, with KKR allowing more than 200 runs in their last two matches. They will need to come up with a superior performance on Saturday, but it is simpler said than done for Morgan and men.

Possible playing XI: Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Eoin Morgan (c), Dinesh Karthik (wk), Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins, Rahul Tripathi, Shivam Mavi, Prasidh Krishna and Varun Chakravarthy.

Rajasthan Royals:

In the Meantime, the Rajasthan Royals have been peppered with personnel worries right from the start of IPL 2021. With big guns Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes tormenting injuries, RR hasn’t handled well with their lacks as they presently languishing at the bottom of the points table.

Skipper Sanju Samson has also blown hot and cold, with Jos Buttler striving for form at the top of the order. Their bowling line-up has fascinated in bits, with Kartik Tyagi’s deficiency also being sensed to an extent. Nevertheless, with the IPL 2021 points table gradually taking shape, the Rajasthan Royals would enjoy ending the Mumbai leg on a high with a victory on Saturday.

Possible playing XI: Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Chris Morris, Rahul Tewatia, Shivam Dube, Riyan Parag, David Miller, Shreyas Gopal/Jaydev Unadkat, Sanju Samson (c&wk), Chetan Sakariya and Mustafizur Rahman.

The venue, Pitch Report, and Toss Prediction:

A high-counting match is on the cards at the Wankhede Stadium, with scores of 185-195 being tracked down rather easily in IPL 2021. But it isn’t all one-way traffic, with the speedsters getting some seam movement off the wicket early on. Although there isn’t much spin available, the spin bowlers have used the extra bounce to their benefit.

With dew likely to play a part later, both sides will preferably look to chase upon winning the toss. Although 180 is a clear minimum at the venue, both sides are well and extremely adept at breaching it with ease.

Tops Value:

Although both franchises have won just one game each in IPL 2021, the Kolkata Knight Riders will hold the upper hand, given their exceptional batting depth. But one cannot take the Royals for granted, particularly as their lower-middle order is notching in with precious runs. With both sides looking to return to winning ways, we are in for a wonderful IPL 2021 battle at the weekend.

Kolkata begins their game at the odds of 1.76, while the Royals are at 2.00. No wonder this gap is sure because of Kolkata’s batting carnage against Chennai Super Kings. They surmounted 202 runs despite being at 31 for 5. Andre Russel and Pat Cummins have proved lethal and should amount to a game-changing outing.
