La Liga 2020-21 Match day 11
Real Madrid C.F. vs. Deportivo Alavés – Fri, 29th November
La Liga 2020-21 Match Prediction
Real Madrid defeated Inter Milan after their draw against Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League. Real Madrid will welcome Deportivo Alavés in Madrid at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano to resume their La Liga campaign. Zinedine Zidane’s side has stumbled in this campaign lately, but they are still on the fourth position with 17 points.
Whereas Deportivo Alavés are on the fifteenth position with only 10 points, but they still have been unbeaten since their last four La Liga games. At the same time, they have also lost their eight games away against Real Madrid. They have made three draws in a row as they played Valencia at the Mendizorroz, which ended with a thrilling 2-2 draw.
Eden Hazard scored a penalty in the seventh minute against Inter Milan giving Los Blancos an early lead and things got easier for them when Vidal was given a red card. Within a minute of entering the pitch, Rodrygo scored a volley at the hour mark which got deflected off Achraf Hakimi to give Zinedine Zidane’s side their first-ever win at the San Siro.
Valencia made a second-half comeback against El Glorioso after they were leading 2-0 before the half time. They scored both the goals by the 77th minute as an answer to the goal scored by Lucas Perez and Ximo Navarro. Madrid humiliated Alavés last season by defeating them 2-1 at the Mendizorroza and later a 2-0 win at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano.
Real Madrid’s form: W-W-L-D-W
Deportivo Alavés’s form: L-W-D-D-D
We predict that Real Madrid will win 2-1 against Deportivo Alavés because such a close fight is likely the result of many changes that Zinedine Zidane will make, but we do have one sure result – a Los Blancos win.
Real Madrid CF will win this game.
Eder Militao is back in training with the Real Madrid squad and could probably start alongside Nacho in defence as a replacement for Sergio Ramos, as the Los Blancos’s captain is currently injured and will thus accompany Fede Valverde to miss the game as well.
Mariano Diaz could lead the line as Luka Jovic is still in isolation and Karim Benzema is still a doubt. Dani Carvajal might start in defence as a replacement for Alvaro Odriozola. Marcelo, Vinicius Jr and Isco are all likely to get a chance to play this game.
There is a heavy cloud over the Alavés team as their captain Manu Garcia has tested positive along with the winger Denis Cheryshev for coronavirus recently. Pablo Machin could replace Jota with Edgar Mendez on the right-wing as he returns from his suspension. Pere Pons and Burgui won’t be able to play this match as they are still injured.
Real Madrid’s possible starting lineup: Thibaut Courtois, Vinicius Jr, Dani Carvajal, Mariano Diaz, Nacho, Marco Asensio, Ederr Militao, Isco, Ferland Mendy, Casemiro and Martin Odegaard
Deportivo Alavés possible starting lineup: Fernando Pacheco, Joselu, Ximo Navarro, Lucas Perez, Victor Laguardia, Luis Rioja, Florian Lejeune, Rodrigo Battaglia, Rubenn Duarte, Edgar Mendez and Tomas Pina.
We predict that Zinedine Zidane’s side will win against Alavés as his men have too much fire within them to overwhelm their opponents this weekend.
