South Africa vs. England 2020

3rd T20I – Tue, 1st December

SA vs. Eng Match Prediction

The third T20I between visitors England and hosts South Africa is planned to occur at Newlands in Cape Town on Tuesday. England has come up trumps in a close encounter in both the T20I with Dawid Malan and Jonny Bairstow starring in a middle-order hero alongside ace all-rounder Ben Stokes.

South Africa hosts will wish to keep the series thriving when they face England in the 3rd T20 on Tuesday (1st December). The visitors had chased down 180 to win the opening T20 and 146 in the second game.

The players in England roster seem more poised with their deeper batting and bowling lineup. We predict England will win the third game on 1st and effect a whitewash with all the winning momentum and confidence.

England will win this game.

Team Preview

The hosts South Africa will seek reclamation after disheartening defeats on Friday and Sunday against England. By no means, the clashes were one-sided matters, although that South Africa required more units than their contenders could not be denied.

Their batsmen – barring veteran Faf du Plessis – have been unable to bank on the starts they got and, quite clearly, South Africa ended tiny of what they once looked in a conflict of. Skipper Quinton would be contemplative a few changes with fast bowler Anrich Nortje and David Miller waiting on the bench. With a decent roster available, he has a few options to try out as the build-up to seek redemptions.

On the contrary, England is superior in batting depth, allowing them to attack all-out in any part of the game. Their wide bowling options also allow them to experiment. Although they carry the momentum into this game, they shall be wary of the home conditions favoring the Proteas.

We reckon skipper Eoin Morgan will look to make quite a few changes to his roster now that they have sealed the series. It will be in the hope of exploring different options and building a core team before the onset of the T20 World Cup.

We shall be in for a cracking contest.

The venue, Pitch Report, and Toss Prediction:

Newlands, one of the most stunning venues to play cricket on, witness the third and final T20 of the ongoing series.  The wicket at Newlands is good to bat on, and we shall beckon a high scoring game. The pace bowling will be the strength to reckon as the ball can show movement.

The ball will be predictable to do a bit off the ground upfront though it should be good. Our Match Prediction guesses that teams will opt to the bat first on winning the toss. Therefore, the toss will be critical.

Key Players to watch:

  • Ferocious bowler Jofra Archer, All-rounder Ben Stokes, and skipper Eoin Morgan of England will be key players to watch.
  • Captain Quinton De Kock, veteran batsman Faf Du Plessis and David Millerof South Africa will be key players to watch.
