Last week was a fantastic one for Test Cricket. Two test matches went down to the wire, leaving fans on the edge of their seats. One of the games was between the West Indies and Pakistan.
The West Indies finally won the match by one wicket. It was only the 15th such occurrence in Test Cricket history. Pakistan put up a fantastic effort but would be disappointed by dropped chances, missed opportunities when batting, and fielding blunders.
The West Indies vs. Pakistan Test series is part of the new World Test Championship cycle, therefore there are important points on the line. The second test will also be fiercely contested.

West Indies vs Pakistan Team Previews
The first test was a bowler’s encounter, and the West Indies bowlers were able to equal their Pakistani counterparts in terms of consistency and wicket-taking ability. The team’s standout was, of course, Jayden Seales, who took 8 wickets in the match (including 5 in the second inning).
He became the youngest West Indian fast bowler to take five wickets in an inning, a tremendous accomplishment when compared to the greats that came before him.
The West Indian bowling assault features a number of extremely excellent bowlers who are effective with the Duke ball at home. Although Jayden Seales, Kemar Roach, and Jason Holder are all threatening bowlers, I believe Pakistan might have done better in terms of application.
For odds on Jason Holder, we would check at the Top Bowler for the West Indies betting market. He pitched well in the first inning but appeared to be out of gas in the second. We believe he will recover quickly.
West Indian batting is brittle. Kraigg Brathwaite’s 97-pitch first inning was worth its weight in gold. No other batsman came close to matching that total, allowing the West Indies to chase down a modest mark.
Jermaine Blackwood, Roston Chase, and Jason Holder also saw action. Chase is another batsman we’d want to see in this match.
West Indies Test Squad
Kraigg Brathwaite(c), Kieran Powell, Nkrumah Bonner, Roston Chase, Jermaine Blackwood, Kyle Mayers, Jason Holder, Joshua Da Silva(w), Kemar Roach, Jomel Warrican, Jayden Seales, Shai Hope, Shamarh Brooks, Rahkeem Cornwall, Alzarri Joseph, Chemar Holder, Jahmar Hamilton
The home team is unlikely to alter its winning combination. After their setbacks, Kieran Powell and Nkrumah Bonner will seek to make apologies. Seales must be buzzing with confidence after being the West Indies’ youngest five-wicket hauler in Test cricket.
Playing XI: Kraigg Brathwaite (c), Kieran Powell, Nkrumah Bonner, Kyle Mayers, Roston Chase, Jermaine Blackwood, Joshua Da Silva (wk), Jason Holder, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, Jomel Warrican
Test victories are tough to come by, especially when touring abroad, which is why Pakistan will be disappointed with its squandered opportunity. The squad did not perform as well as planned, and there are several opportunities for development.
We believe that Pakistan’s batting will be taxed in this match as well. Abid Ali and Imran Butt may struggle to form a successful combination, which is another area for a bettor to exploit.
In the last game, Babar Azam hit 85 runs and seemed to be the greatest batter. Babar Azam Total Runs 1st Inning Over/Under is an interesting betting market to follow. The same can be said about Fawad Alam, who has finally earned his first 50 points of his career (he also has four centuries).
Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Rizwan, and even Hasan Ali round out the lineup. We believe Pakistan’s batting is superior to that of the West Indies and that it will shine in this encounter.
In the second inning, Shaheen Afridi bowled with fire, Hasan Ali was superb, while Faheem Ashraf bowled with emotion. Mohammad Abbas was only successful for a few overs with the new ball in the opening inning, and his spot on the squad is certainly in jeopardy.
With the exception of one runout, all of the wickets were taken by Pakistani fast bowlers, leaving Yasir Shah ineffectual. That doesn’t mean you should write him off. We propose betting on Shaheen Afiri or Hasan Ali (or both) as the Top Bowler Pakistan 1st Inning.
Pakistan Test Squad
Imran Butt, Abid Ali, Azhar Ali, Babar Azam(c), Fawad Alam, Mohammad Rizwan(w), Faheem Ashraf, Yasir Shah, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Saud Shakeel, Abdullah Shafique, Nauman Ali, Haris Rauf, Zahid Mahmood, Shahnawaz Dhani, Sajid Khan
Pakistan may give Nauman Ali a chance over Yasir Shah, who did not see much action in the first Test. In the preceding game, Pakistan’s only half-century makers were Fawad Alam and Babar Azam. The duo will require assistance from their comrades. The pacers will have to be on their toes again again.
Playing XI: Imran Butt, Abid Ali, Azhar Ali, Babar Azam (c), Fawad Alam, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Faheem Ashraf, Nauman Ali/Yasir Shah, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Abbas, Shaheen Afridi
West Indies vs Pakistan Toss Prediction
The side that wins the toss will most likely prefer to bowl first in order to take advantage of the favorable circumstances. The West Indies won the previous match by bowling first, and we believe the side that wins the toss will do so again.
Pitch and Conditions
The weather prediction for Jamaica is favorable for the first day, but rain is anticipated for the next three days. We may have a few interruptions, but nothing that will prevent us from obtaining a result.
The pitch will be lively without being overly fast. The batters will struggle since the Duke’s ball moves a much. Another fast-paced encounter in which the batsmen struggle to get large runs appears to be on the cards.
West Indies vs Pakistan Match Prediction
We’re betting for Pakistan to win and tie the series. It didn’t get off to a bad start in the first encounter and will hopefully learn from its blunders. It boasts greater batting depth, a stronger bowling attack, and is captained by one of the world’s top hitters.
Pakistan is the favorite to win this match.
